And after all the student rebellions in the 60’s, civics was banished from the student curriculum and was replaced by something called social studies. Here we live in a country that has a fabulous constitution and all these guarantees, a contract between the citizens and the government - nobody knows what’s in it. It’s one of the best kept secrets. And so, IF YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT YOUR RIGHTS ARE, HOW CAN YOU STAND UP FOR THEM?
My High School in California had both Social Studies and a Civics course back in 2005. But I do believe you are correct, that the Curriculum is constantly being changed in favor of the establishment and the status quo; very much so based on my experience at the University I attended. Even more alarming is the growth rate of Social Justice (Gender, Ethnicity, Identity) Studies; it was very frightening for me to be in University and surrounded my Elementary Skool-minded/behaving adults... Why the hell did I put myself through Community College for 6 years just to be surrounded by NPC children?...
Unfortunately the government can take away those rights just by ignoring the contract. The rights to vote and the right of choice have been suppressed or taken away entirely. Rights are neither absolute nor god-given.

It wasnt until people got phones with cameras constantly in hand that people started seeing these injustices happening all the time and started believing all of these things blacks were saying about how they were treated by police and courts. And now it is constant attacks against gay and trans, not from police, but people in general that have been indoctrinated to believe that they are evil and bad and are indoctrinating children and grooming them, which isn’t happening, all while churches continue to abuse, groom, and indoctrinate more and more with Republicans ignoring that. My point is that there would be no need for us to stand up for these people if they were not being demonized by the actual groomers and pedophiles, and abusers in the first place but again none of y’all want to believe this is happening in the churches. I grew up forced to go to them and taught that rock n’ roll was evil, but older men having sex with young girls was not. My bet is that if you are a Republican then you look at young women as a target that need to be the mother of your children and that you just need to convince them of that right? The Christian Right in our country are sickening.

Frank Zappa was one of the most brilliant thinkers of the 20th century who wasn't afraid to point out the bullshit and stupidity in society and didn't care whose feelings he hurt in the process. The world is a much safer place without him.
He may have saved music (entertainment) as we know it today from government censorship by recommending that it would be cheaper for government to require companies to print the lyrics of songs inside the album sleeves they sell rather than to create a department that oversaw the production/distribution of all music in the country... czcams.com/video/hgAF8Vu8G0w/video.html
