    A helpful tip:
    Using a paperclip
If you don’t have a paperclip, you can use multiple things like a needle, push pins, toothpick. The thinner the better.
I started off by removing the easiest and loose pieces first, which were the hoops and anklet.
This is the trick that I learned from many years working in jewelry and dropping chain trays with over 40+ necklaces on them... using a paper clip to separate the middle of the knot.
For a really tight knot on a this necklace like you see here, you want use something thin. The paper clip was too thick so I took an earring to open the knot from the middle. Something that also helps with removing knots is raveling the knot between your fingers to loosen it!
