I am so excited for this series
Iron fallout is usually from the cars (and other cars) brake discs. The pads wear the discs down and that’s where it gets embedded in the paint. It’s not usually from the railway as if that was the case, every station would be covered in rust
Could have done with a clay mitt there as well when all the snow foam on. Can feel it taking all the crap out the paint.

That was the car to have back when I was a teenager. I loved the flared arches. Very subtle but made the world of difference compared to the standard A3's of the time.
All cars deserve good owners who will look after them.
It needs a really good clay bar then machine polish 2-3 stage. Touch the scratches in then machine polish when dry (paint which already has clear coat in) then add a ceramic 👌
Good job Luke. Looks so much better. It’s clear when it comes to detailing you’re stronger here with your skill set. These S3’s were great cars. I had a MK1 Leon Cupra R with the BAM 225 engine lump and they made great cars to have some fun with. Always wanted an S3 with the Quattro but back then when these were still the current cars out, I couldn’t stretch to the S3!

She is a sweet i remeber working on these back when they were new ,my favouret was the blue s3 quattro in ch ,this is when all was just right not too much tech and emissions bs sweet quality some eary ecu software glitches with the begining or early days of p codes and corperate bs, well done buddy

These 20vt engines have alot of character I remember my Leon 20vt turbo whistle even with airbox fitted,my tfsi vrs didn't sound as good
So beautiful this Audi i love this generation of S3 i want to buy one too, with the cleaning looks like new, now a bit interior cleaning a bit of diy on interior and u have a very nice car, i wait the next video of this car i love it!

Could also be the top mounts that noise but if your renewing all the suspension conponents i think your be ok. Also heads up the steering racks of this era are known to be an issue
Loved my wee Nogaro 8L, a classic looking hot hatch. Got an 8V now which is obviously much better car but it'll never be a classic like the 8L.
My neighbour had one of these great piece of motor and the sound of it 😍

excellent work there. I know you cleaned the wheel arches, however you need to put it on a ramp, remove the 4 wheels and the 4 wheel arches and give the wheel arches and the body work a good clean. A car like this can use the waxoyl treatment with all the plastics off, surface rust wire brushed, wiped clean with white sprit and then waxoyl sprayed

Not finished yet still need to fix swirls and scratches no point doing clay if it still needs paintwork.

Not removing the plates bugged me, thats the first thing i do..
Gloves Luke!! Wear gloves when using all the products. Good job though!! That was nearly a full decon than a maintenance wash.

One bucket method fine, as long as you use the actual bucket 😂

Get some e46 bmw rear push out window motors so you don’t have to do it manually. Push of a button. Did it with my imola yellow 2002 S3. Also paint that grey panel on the rear bumper…. Maybe charcoal cause black would look too much.

I remember getting mine in 2002. It was w reg and 18k. I wanted a tt that was sitting next to it but decided it was a bit too small. Lovely motor but god it was thirsty 😂. Got a 225 tt now as a second car Lovely motor, but god is it thirsty 😂😂😂
