Exploring Wheels Through Time Motorcycle Museum In Maggie Valley North Carolina

- While in North Carolina, we rode into Maggie Valley to check out the Wheels Through Time Motorcycle Museum. This place was started by a man by the name of Dale Walksler, who when at the age of 15 fell in love with American motorcycles when he rebuilt his first bike. The overwhelming majority of what you'll see here in this video is Dale's collection from years of being deep into the world of traditional American motor vehicle heritage. This place is a definite must see if you are ever in the area of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
This video is also the last of the footage from our trip to North Carolina on the 1998 Electra Glide just before returning home only to have the SaddleTramp garage completely destroyed with all four bikes in it by Hurricane Zeta. The bikes for the most part may still be salvageable, but we are still at this time waiting on the adjuster before we can start trying to dig them out of the rubble. The building is pretty much totaled, and it's going to be a long process, we believe, before things will be somewhat "normal" again. That being said... Whoah that place is truly amazing, must be an amazing experience to work in a place like that all that automotive history. Truly superb to see. Being in my early 30s I can massively appreciate all those beautiful bikes, great to see so many preserved for future generations.

It's a great collection. My cousin has a Harley Repair shop and he told me stories about riding with Dale when they were younger. He has some old bikes but Dale's collection has got to be one of the largest outside Harley's own collection. It would be cool if that place was still around 50 years from now telling people the story of motoring.....

That place is amazing! I seen the guy who started it an his son do a marathon where they got 100 of those vintage bikes to start an run in like 24 hours! Could be a little off on the hrs but it was very impressive none the less just to see'em start an run on thier own. Great video brother! PEACE!!!!!

Really great living history museum, been there before coming back from Cherokee many years ago, would like to stop by again next time I'm in NC. Good to know the heads up on the raffle, wasn't aware of that.

I am so glad you got to go. I have my ticket for the bike and hope that WTT makes enough to keep going into 2021. I already have my raffle bike T shirt and as I write this I am wearing my Dales Harley Davidson Restoration shirt I got at the museum last year. Man I am so sorry about your garage. It was just so old school and perfect for creating content. Glad you guys are alright and that's the most important thing.

I've been remembering how Job, in the Bible, was visited by his two friends. They sat with him for two weeks not saying a word (a great thing). When they started taking they blamed Joe for all his troubles. Big mistake! Job had done nothing wrong! Somehow someway you'll get a new garage..nuff said!

Dale is a awesome guy , I remember when his Harley shop and museum was in Mt. Vernon Illinois. Took time out of his day to always talk history of the bikes , even starts and runs them if he sees you showing particular interest in something.
Would love to go to the new place and see how it's grown. Love it
