Matt ,you have kept your father's dream alive ,way beyond his expectations ! Your knowledge,n information about every motorcycle is so thorough n accurate. Your passion ,towards each exhibit ,captures the viewer or visitor attention so completely! World class young man !
Floyd Rhodes , read my mind ! I visited The WTT Museum twice years ago and met Dale and he made me feel like a life long friend . I have supported the Museum ever since and can’t wait to get back down there again someday .
I have to say you Matt are doing exactly what he would want you to do . Thank God he had you to step in with the same Passion for Old Motorcycles as he did . You are doing a fantastic job keep up the great work !!
(and get checked regularly for whatever it was that got your Dad ,if history repeats itself maybe they can treat in time . I know it’s an terrible thing to think about but that stuff can be hereditary )
Being a British motorcycle guy, this is my favorite channel about bikes. The soul that these bikes have is incredible. You can sense the ghosts of the past who still sit on these machines and the brave (crazy) guys who rode these machines past their intended design parameters.
That Reading…. Incredible. Mouth open, trousers falling down…..
@@wolfdog7265 you should see it in person. It's even better in person.
@@Doug-oh2jy I bet it is but it is kind of a long travel. Twelve hours or so.
The last time I went to California, To the El Mirage lake bed land speed racing with the SCTA and that was a 14 hour flight.
Harley Davidson land speed race bike on Nitro/ Nitrous oxide. Great memories.
More of Guzzi , Norton, Sunbeam or french bike fan of the pre war period... and same, it's my favourtie channel, thanks for sharing the passion ! The Reading is amazing and I get she get the prize in a concourse but I can't help loving that orange Harley, fabulous piece ! btw, the Hispano Suiza at the beginning of the video is gorgeous
These bikes prove that Wheels Through Time is also a one of a kind museum itself. Great history lesson Matt.
My bucket list has coming down on my bike to the museum to pay homage to these amazing machines and to thank you in person for all you do. I wouldn’t be riding today were it not for these machines.
Yes u would, HD was far from the only bike co

😃🤣 OBVIOUSLY, have you not noted how many of the "Rare" bikes are not Harleys?
Remember its not the miles that make us ride. It is "The smiles" 😆👍
Glad y'all were invited
Awesome bikes y'all took
Congrats on the winning
Absolutely beautiful bikes ! The Reading Standard though! Wow! Just gorgeous! And what a sound!
Hey Matt, I have been fortunate enough to spend a fair amount of time with Dave Lietner. That A motor in the rivet tank was purchased from him by your dad. Dave got it from Frank Westfall. There is as bit of a funny story behind the purchase from Frank. Ask Dave about it at Wauseon this summer. Also, according to Dave there is a second Reading race engine. Again, Dave sold it to your dad. Is it still there in the museum somewhere? Love your videos! Hope to make it back to the museum sometime this year.
I always look forward to watching every episode. Just wonderful how you and your dad have documented and preserved the rarest motorcycles.
Matt you picked some beautiful Gems. Great examples of days gone by. Beautiful race machines.
Wow Matt, guys… This Reading runs NICE!! Like a sowing machine with some bite.
She’s trembling as if she wants to GO some place.
It’s incredible what you did to this bike. What craftsmanship. A real labour of love.
WOW, to see you fire up the Reading and watch it run, awesome!! That has to be the coolest motor ever. Congratulations on the awards and invitations! If I known your were going to be at Amelia, I would have gone too. Fantastic video as usual!
How willing were men to go fast back in the day! No brakes or clutch, just climb on and ride! Love it!
My eyes are leaking, riding 51 years, my granddad Bricky Williams rode in Pennsylvania and east coast most all of his life also, ride ride ride
Yes! I remember seeing these very same bikes in person during my visits. Stunners all, but the Reading Standard on display is simply breathtaking! I think I must have walked away from and came back to that bike at least four times. Sure is SHINY!! HOLY SMOKES!
I was fortunate enough to visit Wheels Through Time a few years back . Dale was not there but I managed to talk with Matthew who is a super nice and Extremely knowledgeable dude . RIP Dale but this year 2023 my brother in law and friend and I are hopefully heading back there. My friend has never been and we are all chomping at the bit so to speak to visit once again . People say have you been to this rally or that but in terms of American motorcycle history this place is an absolute must if your a biker .👍🇬🇧🇺🇲😎Greetings from OBX North Carolina.
With your enthusiasm and the history behind the bikes, makes it so much more than the amazing bikes you have.
Looking forward to seeing your great collection of bikes!
Bro.! I love the relationship you have with your Dad even though he is passed. I long for that with my kids. You bring a real tribute to your father and your families genius.
Congrats on the awards and a big thanks for the explanation / story behind each one.
Congratulations wheels through time them bikes are definitely show winners in my book
Nice job Matt and WTT crew. I'm planing on a summer road trip to Wheels Through Time. I loved seeing Matt on American Pickers a couple weeks ago. I watch that show for the vintage motorcycles, so that was a dream episode for me.
Great job! Thanks for sharing the stories with us!
You know, I understand why you want to leave some bikes in their original 'patina' and all because that tells the story, but man they sure are incredible restored! Beautiful! Awesome story of Dale finding the exact motor for the '29 DAR. The Reading Standard is another true beauty. Congratulations on your wins!
Great video!! I've been waiting a longtime to see the Reading Standard again! In 1999, I met Dale for the first time. I was with Jim Parker. When I saw the Reading Standard hanging from the ceiling in a glass case, I asked Dale if it ran? He brought it down and started it!! It smoked quite a bit and set off the fire alarm. The fire department showed up!
You guys never cease to amazing Matt...every time I thought I seen the museum, you blow my mind with crazy unbelievable motorcycles....awesome, that orange bike sounded great Matt...
This is just so beautiful, I love his illustrations for every motorcycle! Beautiful work, keep the history going.
Awesome bikes you took, sir! But I would have taken my favorite, thee ace! Also, your pops favorite thee crocker! Keep up your awesome work, sir!
I loved wandering around taking pictures of all these motorcycles, when I was there last fall. Congrats on the wins!
Thanks to you and your family once again for keeping history alive!
Congratulations Matt and the team. The knowledge you have and share with us mere mortals is nothing short of astounding. I hope to return to the states one day soon and the first place to go on my list will be the museum. I will hope to actually meet you also. All the best from Down Under.
Congratulations on the awards, your team deserves them.
This is by far the best Channel I've seen because since the age of five I have literally spent my life around Antiquities, Air Force Museum , music, bikers, hot rodders.... I learn something every time I tune in to your program..... you guys may be the Indiana Jones of the Wheels Through Time
Thanks for watching along!
Thank You Matt 😊 💓 🤗😍🥰
The first Harley featured in this video, has got to be the most beautiful V-twin engine AND exhaust I've ever laid eyes on. It's gorgeous.
That is stunning. Every bike you displayed today is nuts amazing. Utterly gorgeous. And what a sound at the end. Nothing like it.
I'm slow to the cingats but you deserved it all via those amazing machines and their restoration.
Greetings from UK

Wow what an amazing collection and I adore these old bikes, priceless 👌
Hope to get to Maggie again this year., and to see motos that you've been talking about. Seeing them with the history is epic. 👍👍🏍🏍🏍🙋♂️
That Reading is one of my favorite bikes that you have there. The intricate controls are amazing. Absolutely stunning!! Keep up the good work Matt. See ya in a couple months!!
Great job on the video. You improved to the point of CZcams greatness! Because you have great angles, expert knowledge and presentation with no background noise or music.
That Reading is amazing. I’d never heard of that manufacturer. Apparently there is one in the National Motorcycle Museum here in the UK.
Incrível!!! Parabéns a voce e o seu falecido pai, um visionário que partiu cedo demais.
Most awesome video I've seen this year. Amazing history and amazing machines.
It is incredible how innovative Harley Davidson was. And with the early motorcycles it is stunning how close they look to a bicycle.
Amazing video with amazing bikes.
Thanks Matt. Keep the content coming.
Amazing bikes. The history of those bikes is remarkable.
Can’t wait to see these bike this fall when we return to the only museum that ya can’t get enough of!
Love your enthusiasm Matt!
Thanks for the show! That ported piston is crazy cool.
I have been to Steve Huntzinger's a couple times back in the 90s and he is one hell of a mechanic and restorer. His Harley single was legendary around Arroyo Grande.
I remember seeing a Pope twin and a Sears at his shop.
That Reading engineering / design is amazing!! The story behind each one is equally fascinating.
They look majestic and proud with their ribbons and awards, I'm happy they're being seen and enjoyed. I really want that orange Harley.
Wheels Through Time, never ceases to Amaze, Thank God for American Engineering !!!
Super stuff guys! The history is worth as much or more than the bike!
awesome bikes! congratulations on the awards! the "reading" sounds like a beast!
So incredible all these racing stories
Congratulations! Well deserved Matt and team.
Amazing....Congrats !!
The museum is on my bucket list and with only a couple weeks till retirement it will be soon.
My bucket list. I have to make it there. It all started with my old Harley 50 years ago. I want to re-live it.
Good job Matt!!!I'll be down there to the museum this summer...take care
The more i watch this channel the more i love it!!🇳🇿
I CANNOT WAIT for the Chance to Come see your Museum TOO COOL!!!!!!
Thanks for showing all the bikes your dad told me about that he had thanks again Matt
I love the fact that WTT is the museum that runs. But OMG, starting this 1 of 1 Reading Standard bike is scary. Sometimes, I'll just take your word for it. 🙂
Wow…. Just wow. My mouth is dry from being open in awe through that whole video. Amazing.
Thanks for watching along!
These early H-D's are the only H-D's I genuinely love. Skinny tires not unlike those on the RS, but smaller diameter, and cross-treaded, would return to racing, in the 50cc World Championship GP bikes from the 1960's, til the 1980's, when the 50cc championships ended. 17k+ rpm 100+ mph bikes. 50cc two-stroke singles, with rotary case induction, in later years, producing 20hp.
Man. What a Collection !
Beautiful bikes and fantastic history❤️
Congrats to you and your crew !!!!!!!!
As always Matt is amazing 😮
Congratulations Matt! Fantastic examples
Awesome bikes Matt. I know Dale's looking down smiling.. you're doing a great job. And keep the videos coming.
Appreciate you sharing your vast knowledge with us. Highly informative and entertaining.
Thanks for watching
So cool 😎 that you can see the piston firing through those lower "supercharge" ports in the cylinder !!! That would be awesome to see running at night....Beautiful bike !
Although I'm not a "Fixer" just a rider I am a historian.
I most enjoy the "Back tale" presentations
I read all about this bike love the museum can’t stop telling people about it. Thank you😅
Congratulations Matt! That's awesome! Those restored board track racers are so beautiful.
Thanks guys really enjoy your videos.
Congratulations on the extremely successful showing...
Wow! Congratulations! Well deserved no doubt!
"and you're gonna hear it run" thank you, sir
They are so beautifull!! Did any of those guys run solid tires?
Thanks for sharing.
Exceptional Matt, what a team a very well done
It's amazing to see the Reading Standard, a 1000cc racing motorcycle from 1909. You can only imagine what this bike cost back in 1909. Back then, you could buy a house for $400. 🏍
More amazing history that would be lost without your teams great work, love the channel and keep it up mate cheers 🇦🇺🍻👍👍👍
It would be great if someone built some real board tracks to race motorcycles again. Having vintage as well as modern bikes race there would be incredible to see.
I just Loved the engineering of the bike builder back then, just testing the boundary what good be possible to make HP & fast bike &
they did, just listening to the HD 750cc & the Reading 1000cc running today still sounds very impressive, you could only imagine
what it was like back then so exciting & great times
That is just incredible!!!
pretty awesome machines feller
Congrats! What an honor!!! 👏
