    For future reference, in "How To" videos you explain how to do something.

      Right. As opposed to "bad music while diddling with trumpet" video.

    Great video, but obnoxious music. I ended up muting it.

    What was the item you were using to clean the slide connections? Also, what was used to actually clean the trumpet? Like what soap, etc.

    What is that being used on the slides? Looks abrasive.

    I saw you clean the male sliders but you don't show any cleaning of the female sliders. Also you don't show any cleaning of the valves. Do you do those steps not shown in the video?

    • @MusicElements
      @MusicElements  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes! These steps are definitely included! What is shown in the video is just a compressed version of what we do.

    What slide polish do you use?

    Looks like you used normal valve oil and abrasive paper on the slides? Wow those get them so clean! nice! I'm curious how you get the insides of the slides clean though, thought you would have to use an electric drill brush to really clean the insides. Thanks for the video!

      Phosphoric acid dissolves the lime and brush+soap combo removes any dirt that's inside.

    • @tamasfoldesi2358

      @@Tuca-Luthier. There are a bunch of products that can dissolve the lime build-up inside the instrument without damaging the instrument itself. Just submerge it in the solution, until no limescale is left. If the instrument is lacquered, periodically take it out, and rinse it with mild temperature water, because lacquer can be damaged by these chemicals or hot water if you are not careful. After that, use a snake brush and dish soap to clean the inside of the instrument. Don't brush the valves or valve casings though.
