Adepticon PCP painting relay - Leg 3 all about the basing

- Hello everyone and welcome back to the channel and part three in the Adepticon PCP painting relay! I will link to the previous two entries in the series below but briefly, the PCP was contacted by Don Ayres at Adepticon and asked if we would like to take part in painting an army that is to be auctioned at Adepeticon 2022. All proceeds from the auction will be going to the American Battlefield Trust.
We jumped at the chance and over the past few weeks have been taking part in a painting relay to get the army, a 4 point warband for Saga, fully completed. Well the warband and has arrived on my desk.....so its time to for my stage in the the relay - basing!

Thanks Lucian! Absolutely. I was really glad that I didn't have to do anything else to the basing material. I'd definitely use the textured paint again 🙂
Thank you all for helping us with our charity project, you are absolute legends. I will have a cigar and a fair number of tequilas in your honor at our cigar event. We will have to get you boys over for the convention one of these years.

Painting by committee turned out great, these should do well at the auction

Cheers Marc, much appreciated! I haven't really used a lot of desert basing techniques before but I'll be using the textured paint again. We were very pleased to to involved in the charity auction 😀

Cheers dude! The textured paint really worked on these, especially against the PCP colours. Very happy with how these turned out 😀
They look fantastic! I use Earth texture desert sand on my BA 8th army, its great stuff, can't beat some Warpainter scenic tufts either. My stuff for Don actually went off yesterday, hopefully it arrives safely.
I was really rather pleasantly surprised by the textured paint. I'd never used it before but was really impressed with how easy it was to apply and the overall look of it. I know my PCP comrades use other colours and types of textured paint and I'll definitely be using it again 😀

Cheers mate! I think sometimes desert basing can be a bit of a pain to get right but hopefully I've got the balance right with these 🙂

Cheers buddy, much appreciated! It does yes, I believe that my PCP comrades use it and Alex from Storm of Steel mentioned on the podcast on Monday that he uses it in a different colour too 😀
