Do you like 1958 or Land Cruiser trim better? Heritage Blue or Meteor Shower gray? Jeff
Heritage Blue Land Cruiser is so nice.
I'm waiting to hear from Toyota regarding deposit, etc.
I'm going LC trim 100%.
@@hybridjohn1 I really like the looks and features too
100% LC trim
GX550 trim for me 😂
I hope they eventually offer the Land Cruiser trim with the round headlights. I like the rugged exterior of the 1958 better but the lux interior of the Land Cruiser.
I have a deposit for a 1958- both are nice, but I like the seats, lights, and overall look of the 1958.
I am imagine goosegear or others will most likely make a platform solution that will flatten out the rear so you get a nice sleeping surface & storage solution.
I’m waiting it out until they bring us the new 4Runner. I like the 1958 exterior better but dislike the interior at the same time. 🤷♂️
I was at SEMA also. One thing I noticed is the people running the show didn’t know a thing about any vehicle. Last year they had engineers there so much better.
Going to compare to the new 4runner before I decide. Liking the round headlights not so much the cloth.
Love the retro cloth interior of that 1958. That would be the one I get as long as dealers don’t add markups.
Would have been cool if it had an available sideways flipping 3rd row like they did in the 80 series.
No no!
I wish these reviewers would stop referring to a vehicle in the mid-fifties as an affordable or cheap option. $50,000 might be something that a lot of people finance, but that's not a cheap vehicle and fifty grand isn't base or entry or "affordable".
I'd be willing to bet the majority of people in the United States couldn't buy a fifteen thousand dollar vehicle if they actually had to pay for it up front
I like the 1958 look better I think. Anxious to see one in person.
Jeff, It just has to be the Heritage Blue with the white roof!!🤩
It’s gorgeous right!!!
@@Toyotajeff It is the classic Land Cruiser look that we had hoped would return.
Nice comparison, thank you! Did you upgrade your camera recently? Really nice quality. Thanks!
Thanks! Used my iPhone 14 pro and my new DJI mics for the show
I bet those cowling in the front bottom of the bumper hanging down probably give it its high mileage rating. Wonder if it drops if you put an aftermarket bumper on the front-end?
I’m picking the GX! That’s what I’m picking. 😂😂😂
I'm with you. It's so much more value for the $$. The 27mpg vs. 17mpg (reported) is the only thing that has me considering the new LC
For me, it is hard to choose which 4x4 l like more. They're both very good looking. The silver with the black accents look great. AND, the blue with the white roof looks good too.
Оранжевый с чёрным будет вне конкуренции!👋
any idea how to get on a preorder list??
any idea how to get on a preorder list?
If I had the money, I would get a First Edition...
I was at SEMA too, Jeff! I’m planning on ordering a 1958 edition. I want the “dune” color that was shown at launch and at Cruiserfest at the Land Cruiser Heritage Museum.
I hope you had fun!!
The land Cruiser trim. Is it possible to get it without sunroof?
1958 ✅
Excellent video Jeff❤
Hey thanks Jimmy!!!
I have a deposit in at a local dealership - do you realistically think I could own Land Cruiser trim by next June or am I way off? Thanks!
They look great Jeff-but i will be keeping my tried and true dinosour 2023 white 40th year 4Runner
Land Cruiser. The two tone heritage blue looks gorgeous
Greetings from Germany. There is only a 3000pcs. Limited Edition in Europe in 2024. I like the positive style you are presenting the Toyotas . Very funny.😂
The wheel and tire packages are trash. I know it’s easy to change but you spend 60k on a vehicle and then have to spend another 5 for wheels and tires. This looks more built to grocery shop
It also looks like it should cost the same as a 4Runner
@@celticsfaninthedesert4778doesn’t really seem like there’s a reason to have a 4Runner anymore
Yup 20 inch wheels on an off road truck is retarded
I think it is mainly meant for International markets but it will be offered on U.S for some years as it happened with Fj .
I think the Land Cruiser trim is awesome it will be our pick when it, evsntually, arrives.
I dig the 1958, but in the heritage blue.
2024 toyota Land Cruiser 250 ( gazoo racing ) ? GR Sport ?
I'm torn. I like the idea of the hybrid for added range, but I want the GX550.
I have a deposit at a dealership but not sure what I’m going with yet. Depends on final pricing. I’d like all of the Land Cruiser tech and seats in the 1958 model lol but I doubt I’d be able to do that! I need the bigger screen and better tech that the Land Cruiser trim offers. We shall see!!
does this need premium gas?
I am on my local Toyota dealers list with my salesman for a first edition Land Cruiser and if that doesn’t work out I prefer the looks of the 1958 trim but I like the AC seats being in Honolulu
Why doesnt the 1958 get the sway disconnect and such? Will it be option? Imho the 1958 should follow the Ford Rattler concept, base vehicle but with all the 4x4 offroad bits available.
Having owned two 79 FJ40s back in the 80s, i like the white roof color on the LC Trim. Reminds me of the FJ's roof. Toyota missed the mark here by not offering 3 row seating for the US. Maybe a couple of fold down jump seats in the way back aka FJ. Also, not sold yet on the powertrain. A six cylinder option would have been nice.
No thanks, I just keep driving my 150 3.0L KD for another 10 years, love it!!
They gotta make it so you can get the blue one but with the round headlights!
Land Cruiser trim, in Heritage Blue! Deposit with you guys actually!
I like the look of the 1958 but I want to know if there will be upgrade options. I'm hoping they will have the option for larger touch screen and electric seats. It's a hard decision knowing the 6th generation 4runner is in the works. I may just have to be patient a little longer. In the meantime my 2004 tundra is still coming in strong at 230k miles.
Love the truck, but not impressed with the colors, would love to get the First Edition, but I don’t like the 2 tone colors, I will step down and chose the the grey in the Landcruiser version
Love the 1958 seats. They remind me of my 1994 toyota pickup from back in the day. Never been a fan of leather anyway.
Jeff, have you heard if the 1958 will have the swaybar disconnect as an upgrade option?
Great question and I’ve not heard that it will or it won’t yet. I’ll keep an eye out
Wow very beautiful
First edition cannot wait for updates from dealer
4:57 Wow!
1958 in heritage blue with white roof.
The more I watch videos of the Landcruiser it makes me dislike it and love the GX so much more.
I wish to see them offer the SWB Land Cruiser
I wish they won’t use gloss black it scratches too easily. Also what’s with that plastic on the transmission hump in front of the rear seat. That will get roughed up pretty quickly. No other car has this. Also takes up floor space and feet room for the middle seat passenger.
You’re right, those side mirrors will get small rock chips on the highway in no time
@@chrisz8942 PPF will help a little. Been doing front, headlights (protects against UV fade), fogs, A-pillar and side mirrors on all my vehicles for years. Not cheap, but provides protection.
I'm so glad Toyota has working moonroofs instead of the glazed roofs you find on the Venza.
Toyota sunroofs leak water into drip tray then route it down the drain. Toyota says it’s normal. All Toyota models with sunroofs do that and is designed that way. Not a fan of that design.
I will pick the new 4runner instead because this new land cruiser is only 4 cylinders, it's not worth 70k. If it's V6, I am 100% sure will get one but since it's not v6 but costs more than the 4runner, will not get it. Not sure what TOYOTA is thinking.
Gx550 is this with a v6
1958 with the 12 in. Navi screen. But, I'll wait until Toyota Corp launches the agency model. Sorry, Jeff! 😥
I prefer the style of the Toyota vs the lexus gx but no 3rd row in the Toyota will not work, that middle seat has a huge hump. Toyota should have offered 3 rows in the Toyota also
Agree about the bump. No one seems to 'talk' about it. It's an issue for me.
GX has a third row. But that’s because (for now) it uses the TTV6 used in the LC300. That doesn’t have a battery.
But yeah, that middle bump is big.
Big fail on the round headlights. They would have worked if they were closer together like on the FJ, or they didn't have that cheap black plastic square around them.
humble opinion , the current toyota 4runner limited still looking more luxurious than this vehicle ... but landcruiser is landcruicer
Exactly! not sure why they call these Land Cruisers when they look more like cheaper FJ Cruisers to me.
I want to see a side by side
The new Land Cruiser 70 looks so much better. US car market is so out of touch, made worse by regulations.
3rd row cupholders obviously indicates there will be a 3rd row option. Toyota doesn't make oversights.
It’s a Land Cruiser Prado lol. Not a Land Cruiser. Imagine if Porsche suddenly stopped selling the 911 in America, then they rebadge the Cayman as the 911 there. That’s what Toyota did with this car haha. Both are excellent cars, but the distinction is important.
Seems like the 4Runner has more room
Just another soccer mom grocery getter.
I’d be so much more stoked if they would JUST make a US market Series 70.
It would sell like hotcakes!
US “Safety regulations”:
hi :)
Older Land Cruisers look more premium than this.
Toyota seems to have bad timing when they release new models. It was in 2007 when the FJ Cruiser was released and in 2008 the economy tanked and the mighty FJ Cruiserwass discontinued in the US. Now they release the new Land Cruiser and inflation is through the roof and people can't afford a vehicle in the mid-50s. This is the worst time to buy a car with extreme high prices and dealerships unable to sell anything with their 30% and 40% markups. Looks like the Land Cruiser will go the way of the FJ Cruiser.
Какая мощнейшая реклама у тойота по всему Миру!
Did you REALLY have to touch the mirror with your finger though ..?
Rugged 18 inch wheel lol. They should put 17 inch wheel. 1958 version need manual just like back in day.
I'll keep my 4 runner. 😂
Anything over 30 k should have leather.
I just want a 1958 with leather seats 😤
At one time this was deal breaker for me, but not anymore. My 2017 Taco was offered in only cloth seats. Added some leather seat covers all around and it looks awesome. This is the way.
I can say for sure it ain't mid 50k
and most important.......Made In JAPAN
Am I the only one who thinks the older land cruiser and the current 4runner look way better?
С трансформацией заднего дивана в спальник у тойота просто беда!!👎
What a frickin joke
I don't like all the buttons next to the gear shifter. 🤮🤮
