This hits different from other VAs as well, CN VAs has collabs on thier own and can do whatever they want with publicity unlike in JP (or KR?) VAs which they are only restricted to post on twitter and act like a celeb instead of doing things like this.
Maybe it's bc of cultural differences, but they're all doing their best for the community, and that's respectable :)
Yeaa the CN and ENG va's seem more active and talkative to their fans than JP va's
JP va's are probably busy as hell so they don't have much time to do streams, collabs, etc compared to ENG and CN VA's. Regardless I respect all of the cast equally whether they are active or not with their fans
...Japanese VA industry is a lot bigger than ENG or CN though, so I don't think it's anything abnormal if they are not as close as ENG and CN enough to do collab together on their own. It's almost like if someone from a completely different school who you maybe walked past a couple of times suddenly walks up to you and ask you to come stream a game together with them out of the blue when you don't even know each other and aren't exactly friends. It can happen, but I wouldn't find it weird or disappointing if it doesn't. *shrug*
The JP voice actors aren't acting like celebrities though. Literally all of them ARE celebrities.
