I am harmonic frequency sensitive. I come to tears whenever I hear renditions such as this and even more especially when they sing their own special version of Eric Whitacre' s "Sleep" and "A Boy and a Girl." I am jettisoned into a whole new universe whenever i hear those selections sung by Voces 8.
I was living in Germany when The Singers Unlimited made their first album. I have all their albums on LP and CD. They are a difficult act to follow, but Voces 8 managed to perform the song extremely well without the overdubbing techniques used originally. I can imagine they would do a very good job of other Puerling arrangements e.g. the Beatles songs.
Masterfully done. The clarity in the decrescendos is especially amazing, like at 1:16. The stellar intonation makes chords bloom, like at 3:13. And that octave between the top and middle voice on the last chord just sings!
Beautifully performed as usual! OMG I missed your voice Mr. Tenor solo, where were you? #GreetingsFromVenezuela Por cierto, han pensado en presentar canciones en español? Songs that have VOCES8`s particular vibe but in spanish. If you need advice on contemporary and "postmodern" choral spanish songs I'm right here, just let me know
Gene Puerling blessed us all with his remarkable gift. Thank you for keeping this glorious sound alive.

harmonies are amazing :) I love the way y'all pulled back and had full control of the dynamics, to give a mysterious, romantic and alluring effect. :)
Beautiful. As always:) Love the warmth in the men’s voices and those clear soprano tones. No one does it like you guys do!
Beautiful! I sure miss Len Dresslar's low Eb on the final chord though :)
Incredible! Sounds like The Singers Unlimited, thank you and God Bless!
The formal attire is ver appropriate. As my mother always would say, you clean up real good!
Best version I have ever heard of this beautiful song, so difficult to get the harmonies right but you nailed it. Thank you
