  • Finally, I'm getting around to the c notch and axel flip kit. It's time to take these raggedy bent up leaf springs off. This kit advertises a total of 6" of "drop" or "Lowering" in the rear of the truck. hopefully we gain some drivability back as well!! don't forget to Like and Subscribe to the channel!!
    note In this video, I used the factory U bolts that I had. Since I have/will be changing them to a square style that fit much better and are safer.*

    Great video. I was curious about the height with a flip kit and no notch.

      Thank you! Also, keep in mind that I have updated the rear u bolts. I don't recommend the way I did it in this video, I bought longer u bolts and went around the axle tube itself.

    Were your old leaf springs custom bent to lower the truck?

    Get flat top u-bolts if your going to use the stock plates on top if not put the round u-bolts on the axle not the top plate your just asking for trouble the way u have them now

      I have actually looked into this and in fact you are right about needing the squares, I have a set now in my garage waiting to be put on. Thanks for the input!

      What kind of floor jack are you using at the end? It did great with the whole rear end and I’m looking to get a new one (floor jack)

      Also the red text in the thumbnail is not very readable in mobile. Try white bubble letter with some kind of drop shadow. This thumbnail is getting better than the others with the image overlay. That could be much bigger, feed the image into something to remove the white background and then put a starburst behind the parts and make them much bigger, maybe cover the back half of the truck or go left side where it is. Also try offsetting the test into the top left or right. Down center is not optimal. You could also take the text , that’s now bubble letters in white with a drop shadow, and rotate the whole text 15deg so the beginning of the text starts lower then the end.
      Anothe cool video keep up the good work the views will come!

      It is a harbor freight low profile. I think its rated at 2 tons? Ive had it for close to 5 years now. Dose great for the price.

      Not in any way trying to knock your build but please tell me you plan on getting the correct u bolts and you’re not gonna run the old stock ones that don’t fit correctly

    U bolts are rounded to go over the axle tube not over the spring perch brother, please get that fixed asap. Also how did you lower the front?

    • @brokenasscrxnick7125
      @brokenasscrxnick7125  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Yes, i have realized this since making the video and switched it around. Currently, the front has heated springs from the previous owner. I am im process of sorting that out and figuring out which direction i want to go in.

      @brokenasscrxnick7125 I put 2 inch drop shackles in the rear of my 94 and the front still sits lower on stock suspension upfront so I'm trying to decide if I wanna c notch and flip kit the rear

    • @brokenasscrxnick7125
      @brokenasscrxnick7125  Před 4 měsíci +1

      @TrumpDatB1tch you can definitely get it a lot lower with the axel flip. I would look into some shortened rear shocks for the back if you do so. They also make lowering leaf springs too I believe. Might be worth looking into as well
