Thank you. From the rural southern greater Somalia. All I got is welded pull-up bar with a dip bar connected together that I designed when I got here and I wanted to start a workout team which I do have now. Thanks for the tips sir. I am just at an beginner level. Can't do mascle up or any other fancy stuff yet.
You should also prioritize spinal flexion since that’s the primary function of the rectus abdominis you can also train your transverse abdominis with vacuums and bracing
@@L3g0m4nnthe thing is… he looks natural but not necessarily. HRT doesn’t make you look like Ronnie Coleman nor make you develop undesirable side effects in most cases.
I love leg raises, when I actually do it right that is, but for some reason my body occasionally just decides to completely fuck it up, and when this happens I never quite figure out how to engage the right muscles and it just goes to shit (maybe it's got something to do with what exercise I do just before?) Anyway I'm definitely gonna try these from now on, thanks man! 🙏
Would you recommend adding a pause to essentially hold an L-Sit for a second or two, or is it better to just pump away and try kick the legs as high as possible?
Really good and solid advice. I myself learned that leaning against the post or wall bars, to relief my back from stress and concentrate more on abdominal. Only way later I returned to hanging, but more for training stability than develop abdominals
In gymnastics we guys did hanging leg raises from the girls uneven bars. Use the one where you butt is just a few inches off the floor. Then raise your legs from that starting position. It keeps the ROM to 90° and prevents using momentum and forcing the abdominals to do most of the heavy lifting.
Your videos are great, just a simple request, could you please make a video on Diet as people like me who don't have much money to spend on food, I'll in doubt if I'm eating enough stuff so that I can grow my muscles and strength as the same time
why is this one of the only callisthenic movements to consistently aggravate my low back? No other exercise hurts it quite like these. Am I rotating my lumbar too much while doing it or does it just naturally load the lumbar with weight? right now i can only even do them with knees bent so it shouldnt hurt to much.
Yeah, good form, totally natural position of the shoulders...try replicating the same form just with your arms up without hanging, bet you can't get you arms perfectly straight without all your weight pulling you down
I don't think support is beneficial for this. Abs work best when the force is not distributed in something else like a chair or a machine. Abs get worked when you lift heavy weight standing up. Abs are or balance, so it's better to not do anything to cheat balance. Let them work.
Taking a certain load off a muscle group isn’t going to increase the load on another so the first option is far from bad but has no real benefit aside from feeling less back fatigue. The second option is 👍 though.
That is B.S. The best work out for a particular muscle group is always, *ALWAYS* when you engage mostly the muscle group you want to built. Your arms will tire up long before you exhaust your abdominal muscle. Waste of time and energy!
@@jurv7626 - Oohhh, so this exercise is for people who are already in shape? Why didn't you say so? You don't need to stress out your whole body to work a group of muscle, which is obvious what you're doing.

Slow and controlled is best because you're focusing on contraction and time under tension
If you practice kipping on this exercise, you will lose the motivation to go slow and controlled, which is a miserable grind.
Never thought about changing grip I imagine biceps will also see growth my being in such a stretched position also defo adding this change :)

I have to say, these short instruction videos that are popping up lately are extremely useful. Thanks Daniel!

thats super helpful. for some reason i feel like i start getting a back pump before i start to feel a burn in my abdominals. very frustrating

Nice! I have always done legs lifts with a pull up grip but now I will do them with a chin up grip.
Wow! Great tips.

Start progressing manna for abs
Best thimg for me is to add a pause at the top
Gotta give this a shot, noticed arms always tired before abs because was holding like pull up not chin up
My lower back pops and hurts after awhile when I do them so I stopped doing them completely
You're a genius man
what back muscles are recruited in these moves?

Is there a way to build a decent back without weight workouts I don’t mind lifting heavy or light but prefer calisthenics

Most difficult part is to get partner😅
I would rather figure out another way or do another exercise.
Do you know about hiatal hernia?
Doesn't work for me.. I need a lot of resistance for an exercise to work.. Never understood why
My legs weight more than my top half so it’s hard when you actually have legs
But if ur spine doesn't flex then u mostly working ur hip flexors
Sit ups or crunches
Hollow body holds
Both are pretty bad honestly. There are much better ones out there.
But if i had to choose i would go with crunches

Why not mention you can also do this on the floor? Not everyone is got the strength to do pull ups...

This exercise is trash, utilizes way too many other muscles, just do an exercise that hyper focuses on the abs
Thats a terrible look at your leg physique ... big upper .. the lower... jesus
ACTUALLY THE BAR BLOCKS YOUR FULL RANGE OF MOTION THEREFORE LESS AB MUSCLES ARE BEING UTILIZED 😶

Most calisthenics athletes and gymnast's already have the grip endurance for it, if your arms become a limiting factor use straps.
