Back in the early 50's when my parents emigrated here from England, my dad and friends tried to get Cricket and Football going, but the heat was too much for them and they had to quit. I know he would be happy to see this here now.

Cricket will not supplant baseball as the primary summer sport in the USA. It is a good game, but expecting significant numbers of Americans to play and/or follow cricket rather than baseball is hoping after hope. It will not happen. And I'll give one reason why (there are many). It is not superior to baseball and without that it will not supplant baseball.
