- The Texas Super Kings will call Grand Prairie home in the first year of Major League Cricket. The fast-paced sport is watched by billions around the globe. The first games will be played in July.

I can’t wait. They have some world class players playing. Became a cricket fan 3 years ago. I think they need to really focus on grabbing baseball fans. If cricket can get to the level of lacrosse in the states we could be a top team in my opinion. I just feel like they haven’t done a good job advertising the league outside of the already cricket watchers here. I really hope the league succeeds, and develop the youth levels. It really is a great sport to watch. They need to really emphasize T20 here. That’s the format that I think will have the best growth. It’s the best part of baseball without foul balls lol. If grown right I can see baseball players playing. Having our own American cricket culture develop will be interesting.
So exciting! Easy to forget that the US was a participant in the first international match! And that match was played in New York. Love this!
American should replace Baseball with Cricket. Cricket has better future than Baseball.

It’s going to take time. If they really want it to grow here they need to focus on getting baseball fans into it. Baseball players picking it up at the youth level would also be a great thing. Baseball is just boring to me. I respect it but there’s a reason the audience is aging. Baseball was the best in the 90s when they were slugging the ball. T20 is that but non stop. They just really need to bring more awareness, and advertising. No one outside of current cricket fans here have no idea about this league. I feel like they’re relying too much on Americans who come from cricket playing nations. Also they need a TV deal that isn’t Willow. Barely anyone here has heard of willow.
MLC has next to no promotion. Very few people outside the South Asian diaspora know this is happening.

Expats are corrupt. They take ICC money & employ themselves it to give cricket PE classes in schools, but no coaching.

I just want to tell made host that IPL of cricket is most viewed as per audience and expensive as per money league in the world.Only 2nd after NFL.
Last year they surpassed NBA(Basketball) and English Premier League(Football/Soccer).Per match income and price is higher then all other too leagues.
Thr is just a little difference left between NFL and IPL.
Only on OTT platforms Cricket viewership is 20-24 million viewers per match.
Others who watch on TV and Other ways are different.

Those teams are owned by india league franchises, india would not allow it players to play outside Indian so Indians will not be watching it much , but good for cricket

Cricket's popularity is dying all over the world. Don't think it will thrive in the US.. Now a days even hardcore cricket fan like me also avoid watching it.. Cricket's golden era ended around 2017/18..
