I might not understand what you're saying fully, but this is a short trailer for a one hour dancefloor set where we played belgian stuff from 1986-1989, mostly new beat, acid house, early techno and some other stuff that doesn't really fit a strict genre but came out of that scene.

Technically speaking songs like "I Sit On Acid" and a lot of other (late) New Beat classics aren't New Beat either as they were faster than the original 90-120BPM that declared new beat tracks at the beginning. things evolved on the New Beat wave to what this track is in the video (good) and unfortunately to utter crap (thanks VTM) as everyone saw cash in it but you know that better than me as you had to go through all of that back then. And at the time you played it at the club it was already dying out again after being over commercialized and becoming normal/mainstream. (yes, I'm also belgian and witnessed it from the beginning back then as teenager with musical taste that was mostly electronic/synthpop/new wave based so following that was normal).
