Meanwhile, somewhere in Colchester, 100 hours later... I manage to assemble a giant robot hand.
Hahaha! Seems like a titanic feat to master
You could always assemble the head next...oh wait ;)
Did you get the one you wanted after? Hopefully it was in stock for you!
@@kissmywhip Funny :)
@@thurvinfrostbeard1838 He will have some titanic feet to build, too.
Must me a titanic task
Looking forward to the inevitable 1000 hour time lapse, and the 10,000 one after
1000 is doable... ;-)
10000 hours would make you Olympic standard orc painter
@@YourprogrammingnetworkCoUk and over a year older. Good Morning 2022
Don't know if he could get 1000 hours out of this, Miniac probably could. He'd still be painting his knights after 250 hours.
@@tombombadil9338 "Best I can do is 4 Blood Knights."
Expensive cat bed.
Worth every penny.
I love you guys. You are the best xD
The absolute joy on your face when the clock stopped and you put the extra 1 in front of it is gonna carry me through the rest of this week.
Have a great week, Jon! :-)
“What were the cool kids doing? Not painting orcs” haha that part made me laugh
Me too!
they are the orcs
What a hero! The bob ross of the Warhammer world strikes again.
Last time I was this early the necrons still had their souls
Something about the simplicity of the fact that he just added the one and then continued to paint with a smile on his face is legitimately inspiring
"refreshing Yahoo news" Brent showing off that he's indeed a man of culture
Just when i heard that I wanted to check the comments lol
oh absolutely!
@@iarb6657 lol that was me too
The combinaition of dance music and Brents slow methodical manner of speaking is brilliant. Strange, but brilliant
welcome to goobertown! ;-)
@@GoobertownHobbies I've been around for a while but I can't say I remember any dance music :) Maybe I just wasn't paying enough attention.
For some reason the epic music and voiceover is just so goddamn funny- I mean; we're looking at a cat-loving science ginger painting tiny soldiers y'all
Oh absolutely! :-)
CZcams algorithm: we're gonna reward videos posted mid day
The Goobs: hold my paint brush
Mid day? Is almost 10 am here... It was a surprise, and I'm sure that my motivation during the rest of the workday will be max. :D
It was 2 in the morning here in America
The video no-one asked for but we're all glad we watched. Has a certain Faithless vibe to it!
I can't get no sleep.
You're a special person man. Thank you for representing our hobby and passion the way you do.
I spent most of the video watching the cat chill in the indomitus box or waiting for the cat to return to the indomitus box.
This is the way ;-)
Hahaha, same! I love the idea of Indomitus as a sleeping box for a cat.
Your cats are a lot better behaved than ours. They've been banned from our hobby rooms after providing far too much "help".
These epic build n paint sessions are what we will look back on as the best times in our lives!
I see 1 start collecting box and already sweat this mad lad is doing 4 and 2 more boxes.
Many boxes :-)
I love how the cats just jumping all over the screen. It’s so cute.
She’s in and out of the box in the back!!! ❤❤❤
I love his face when the 100 hours were up, such pure hobby satisfaction!
Keep up the amazing work, Brent! Phenomenal as usual.
The script is spot on for lyrics in a tune mix! 🤣
“I spend time painting figurines...
No regrets...”
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
"In which Brent gets into the Labour theory of value." XD
most youtubers make 8 minutes of content into 15 minute videos. Brent makes 10 hours of work into a 8 minutes. incredible. truth be told I would watch this man 10 hours straight.
You mean 100 hours?
Great! Thank you! The best part was, when you were happy to have reached 100, then just added your cube and got on going again. That's the spirit!
Timer stops.
Resets timer.
Keeps painting.
Well played.
"All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.” - Yer man Gandalf.
'No Regrets' - Yer man Brent.
Perfect video, like Brent's version of a Henry Rollins inspirational monologue!
Goobs is my favourite miniature painting chemist on CZcams!! 🥰
awwww, thanks Jakedogg!
Thanks for making getting into this hobby so easy for me and encouraging me to try my own thing, lead to a space marine army that makes me feel a swell of pride every time I look to them.
That's awesome, congratulations :-)
100 hours. Normally when I watch goobertown is quiet calming but this video jumped off to a bang with the coolest montage I've seen in years. Thank you Goobs
Hehehehehe :-)
How do you say the most mundane of things but make it exciting and enthralling. Its baffling.
"There goes my hero, watch him as he paints. There goes my hero, he's extraordinary". Top lad. Video gave me goosebumps at the end. Inspiring!
I heard Grohl singing when i read this! Hahaha thanks man!
Hobby time is so much more productive and enjoyable than any digital anything. I have been off of all social media sites for well over a year now. I have learned n done so much with my hobby time. Amongst all the yuck of this i have rekindled my love for gaming and terrain and minis! Thank for helping to inspire that Goober!!
Nice! Congrats on reducing your digital time, that's really great :-)
The epic choir really adds to the ambiance :)
Dude I can't with the narration, I'm sitting in a train trying my hardest not to laugh rn. Keep up the good work!
;-)
It is the year 2121.
Goobertown Hobbies is uploading his latest video: "The One Hundred Year Warhammer Challenge"
After 99 Years, 364 Days, 23 Hours, 59 Minutes and 59 seconds, he barely finished the current Space Marine line-up.
"To the next challenge", a Hollowed out Brent proclaims !
I'm taking my vitamins, I'll see you there! :-)
Your channel is like fine wine, with each video they get better and better! Good job Brent!
The happiness in your face was priceless thanks for sharing this video and your comments :-) stay as you are and stay healthy
now release the extended 100 hours director's cut... the ultimate slow tv
Hmmm, it's just crazy enough to work....
This is actually so true. I used to be shy about painting minis, but now I have embraced it. It truly is an amazing hobby.
right? ;-) Keep painting, my friend!
The absolute madlad! Hits 100 hours and just keeps on going.
The raw power this video contains is immeasurable
Brent: that smile when he reaches 100
me: Data...?
There are few things more satisfying than a timelapse. And I'm just talking regular timelapses... hobby timelapses are a whole different level of nerd youtube eye candy 🤣
“We call it work because it gives us a sense of accomplishment” - a truer word was never said. Nice one Brent!
"Models become characters" really sums up nicely what i most enjoy about the hobby.
I genuinely started tearing up half way through this video, the word's of encouragement and motivation are so honestly expressed it really hit home i need to be doing more personally meaningful stuff with my time, thanks Goobertown
There’s something strangely hypnotic about watching your painting handles hop around your desk
hehehe, right? :-)
I'm a mechanic and the small precise movements while building and painting. Plus learning to have the patience. Has really helped my motor skills and stress levels. Fudge everything and everyone while I hobby. This my time to neglect the world. My quiet time isn't so quiet though. I sound like a mental patient yelling random things over music. Tis relaxing.
ahhh, a perfect evening. :-)
Wow, just wow! Looking forward to going along with you on this epic journey! Your positivity makes me want to paint more and introduce other people to the hobby as well. You're truly an inspiration to everyone! Have a wonderful day!
Have a great day yourself :-)
if you ever wonder what the cool boys are doing, i can tell you. they paint minis my friends. greetings frome the girls
I second that! Fangirl*
Of course you put down a box and the feline sits in it.
Because that's what cats DO!!!
Especially love the guard watch shift switch at 1:58
"If I fitz, I sitz"
@@fredericjaquet3729 yes and they can also go to liquid state on demand.
amazing how you can go for a 100 hours of painting the commitment is real, well done.
Watching you paint makes me feel sad about my pile of shame and at the same time inspires me to paint it with fervor as soon as I get time off work.
Your time will come! :-)
I can barley paint a squad of sisters jeez man
See we all think this is a time lapse but this is just how Brent works.
With that epic music and voicing I wouldn't be surprised if space marine squad breached into the room to join you in that painting challenge. Nice video
Such an amazing ending, when the 100 hours end, the next 100 begin. There isn't really an end, only the point where you choose to stop. A good message about any hobby.
Man spends a hundred hours painting, in the most inspirational way possible.
Welcome to goobertown! :-)
You should put all these lines on inspirational posters, each one fits perfectly.
Haha thanks Knarb!
Wow. You're one of the most inspiring, positive figures I know in this hobby or any other. Keep painting models dude. Keep painting models.
I liked watching the glue slowly migrate across the table over and over before you eventually throw it back to your left and it has to start the journey again.
7:09 Improvise, adapt, overcome .
Jesus Christ. You absolute madman.
Hey Brent! The concepts you went over at around 3:30 are why I became a carpenter!
Still one of my favourite channels on CZcams. Always look forward to the next video and always leave the video happier than when I started it.
awww thanks, Max! :-)
I'm digging the Eurobeat soundtrack, it somehow fits!
100 hours - it's impossible! Goober: "No, it's necessary."
I subscribe for the know-hows, but stayed for the Bob Ross of "you can do this". This was a great episode.
Coffee + Brent = Perfect
I’ve never been so early, I should probably sleep 😅
I always expect him to say "Welcome to Goobertown Hobbies, I'm Goober"
someday, someday...
I love this video. The commentary is good, the music is epic, the progress made on the minis looks good, and the end is satisfying. Cant wait to see more
Your happy face when restarting the clock really offered me a somewhat new perspective of looking at the time spent on a big project and reaching said finish line. Thanks for a great video =)
"What were the cool kids doing? Not painting orcs" -goobertown hobbies
He needs to put that on a shirt
If the cool kids arnt spending time painting orks, then their not the cool kids.
whoa! you just blew my mind. :-)
I did not choose the ork life, the ork life chose me.
Very inspirational video. Finding purpose in my last few years has been hard, and learning to find it in my free time/hobby activities instead of my job/work has brought more joy.
Keep on hobbying, my friend :-)
Love the dance of the glue bottle 😻
Amazing video as always, I try to go into everything without expectations or prejudice since that only leads to disappointment and bad feelings. And you always manage to put a smile on my face. Your video talking about BLM, etc really opened my eyes that I should not be passive by not being racist/discriminating but also actively try to make the world a better place. Thank you for all the time and effort you spend on making these really wonderful videos.
Also, if you are looking for a TCG in the Warhammer 40k, i can recommend Warhammer combat cards, It can be harsh to get a foothold at first but it has amazing devs and an amazing community (well there are always some bad exceptions but the greater majority of the community is great).
@@ibramgaunt885 hey thanks for the rec- what I've heard has been good!
Right on, I'm glad this stuff resonates with you :-) Hope you're having a great day!
Thanks, you too.
Who gives a damn about the cool kids I’d rather be at the nerd table any day
This new soundtrack is so uncharacteristic but also suits the new vibe. Love that ending too man, you have stellar hobby endurance.
Brent (and midwinter minis ) is literally the Bob Ross of mini painting. His voice is so relaxing.
To Who ever disliked this video, I have called liam Neeson. He will find you..
Probably people can’t make a army that fast
Part of my hobby time goes to Goobertown. Thank for the inspiration!
Hehehe, you can assemble while you watch! ;-)
@@GoobertownHobbies Sound advice, Sir!
your are a truely inspiration! keep on going and don't rush - you don't measure joy in time!
Oddly one of my favorite vids of yours! It was calming, satisfying and inspiring all at the same time, plus seeing you move at hyper speed was entertaining. More of this please!
Hey thanks! Gonna keep workin on this army, more to come! :-)
Getting a big 'slam poetry' vibe from the get go. I love it
And now I see the appeal of slam poetry! :-)
Brent my friend, never stop pointing out how little time really we spend on those things we really love.
I love sleeping and not working. So that makes 2/3 of my day well spent.
Putting that 1 down in front of the clock and starting it again ... legendary ...
Awww yeah!!!
I'm at a loss for words 😯 What a PHENOMENAL video. Resetting the clock to 100 while the music swelled triumphant gave me goosebumps.
You've made me feel proud to paint toy soldiers, and inspired to keep on hobbying!
Good metal music in the back round.
A motivational dubstep beatpoem. Very different, very fun!
Hehehe, very silly, but I had fun with this! :-)
Madman crafted a box with the number 1 tapped to it, specifically so he could keep tracking his time after he went over the limit of his timer. Outstanding.
Hehehehe, just wait till we get to 2! :-)
Thanks for the smile on my face.
hehe, you're welcome! hope you're having a great day :-)
I actually got goosebumps when you pulled out the "1" great video thanks Brent. Keep up the positive vibes, I need it these days...
Hehehe, lots more work to do on these lads! :-)
Great amount of progress for your hundred hours. You've definitely got a good system going there.
I'm so pumped to hobby, this monologue is great hahaha
Wooo!!!! do it!!! :-)
Loved putting up the "1" and getting right back to work! 😁
no time to dilly-dally! :-)
Im calling it. Video of the year
Brent's narration over the pumping/epic music was the cherry on top of this epic time lapse sundae! Army looks like it's going to be great and thanks for your work and encouragement. Also WTF how can people downvote? Uncultured bores.
Fair bit of work done in a 100 hours cant wait for the inevitable completion, keep up the great work Goobs
100 time lapse and didn't even stretch it to the magic 10 minute mark for monetisation. Brent, you are a god among men
