  • As important as it is to be able to do stats with JASP, you also have to know how to get your results out of JASP. We are going to talk about exporting datasets, results, figures, and tables…all of the techniques that will prepare you for exploring statistics with JASP. This is the sixth in a series introducing statistics students to exploring statistics with JASP.
    Chapters
    0:00 Introduction
    0:26 Open the JASP data set “Kitchen Rolls” and run some analyses
    2:03 Export data in JASP file format
    3:20 Export data in the CSV (comma separated values) format
    5:00 Export all results as HTML to open in a web browser, word process, or spreadsheet
    6:30 Export figures
    8:15 Export tables and format them if necessary
    12:05 Export tables in LaTeX format

      Excellent! Wonderful to hear that the dissertation process is being smoothed ever so slightly by the videos. Good luck!

    I'm a little late to your videos but found them as I am exploring JASP. I have been an active researcher for 13 years and I learned at least three new things about how to handle tables for publications. It has always been a significant choice for me and most of my co-authors. I can't believe we never considered using Excel to make tables! You just saved me LOTS of time for the rest of my career. Thank you! Also, excellent JASP tutorials. I will be sharing them with my students!

    Thank you so much, Dr. Todd Daniel. You are my favourite statistic teacher on CZcams. I have learned a lot from you, and thank you for changing the Hawaii shirt each time to make the classes more interesting.

      You're very welcome! Love the comment and thanks for noticing the shirts. I thought it was a fun touch and it helped with editing to know which clips went together. :o)

    I am an Statistician but I find JASP is very user friendly . Thanks for making these video, now I understand how to implement stat. & use JASP. If u make tutorials on result analyses its range, meaning and interpretation of data etc it will more helpful to us. Once again thanks for amazing JASP Tutorials.

    Hi...Thank you so much for these "very useful" videos...Is there any feature in jasp like "recode into different variables"? I have been looking for it...

    • @ResearchByDesign
      @ResearchByDesign  Před 3 lety +1

      There is not...JASP is great at analysis, not so much with data handling. I have been told that they plan to add that capability some day, but I would not count on seeing it soon. You can multiply values within JASP to Crete new variables but not recode

    I just copied the distribution plots, but after a few minutes they disappeared in my word document and there was only a link or something like that?! But nothing opens when I click on it....it is just gone....:(((

    • @ResearchByDesign
      @ResearchByDesign  Před 2 lety

      Yeah, that is weird...not sure what is going on there. Might be something with the cut-and paste? I really don't know what to tell you. I guess try doing the steps again and saving the new document right away? Good luck

    Is there a way to export the citations into Endnote? Otherwise whenever I update my references I think it will overwrite anything I paste in manually. Thx

      Oh, now that is a great question. I do not know the answer, but I am going to ask the JASP team. Well worth a video answer!

  • @semidesierto

    I´d like to know what would be the advantage on editing tables on LaTex software rather than a spreadsheet program? Thanks in advance!

    • @ResearchByDesign
      @ResearchByDesign  Před 3 lety +1

      The advantage would be if you were already using LaTeX for your writing. If not, if you are using MS Word for example, then it would be easier to edit in Excel. It is nice that JASP gives you those options.
