Thanks for your reaction Ashlena. I went to both shows in Vegas. I learned Adele was scheduled to begin a residency in Vegas on March 1st, but canceled for health reasons. We all wish her a speedy recovery.

I highly suggest you react to the video Alan Papier posted for Angelina's new original song, Princess of Ruins. Alan gives the background to the song, which Angelina said is her identity. No doubt it is her signature song, telling why she performs barefoot.
Every time she brings tears in my eyes cause it is so beautiful. Angelina Jordan ASTAR (the name says it all), this young norwegian genius is imo the best singer on the planet! I am 71 y old and have never heard a singer like her in my whole life. Her voice touches my heart and cleanses my soul.
Vocally and artistically she is so wonderful and a great pleasure to listen to. Ashlena, but there is more to it, isn't there? 'Who she' is as a beautiful human being, so humble, sincere, respectful, kind, caring and loving make her performances special. Her soulfulness translates into a form of pure love when we listen to her sing 'for us' and it is very genuine and we can feel our hearts reaching out to welcome her love. I don't know what her schedule looks like for the near future but I know she will going on a world tour and is very excited about that. Millions of people around the world know her and what's amazing, Ashlena, by this time a year from now, almost everyone in the world will know who Angelina Jordan is. I have every confidence that Angelina and her team will be ready for all the excitement and what will become very evident to anyone going to see her 'live' is the respect her audience has for her. She becomes 'family' to each one of us and we want to share our love with her.

Angelina first sang this song when she was 13...she did it live in concert at Proysenfestivalen with a small jazz ensemble...but the best (IMO) version is just her and Egil in a hotel room having a little practice, which was live-streamed on Instagram...it's so perfect even though she encounters some phlegm (she's recovering from a cold) which affects one word and she picks a convenient time to clear her throat...lol, it's still perfect

I mean, Adele's a 16-time Grammy winner and one of the top selling female artists ever, and Angelina's still breaking in, so I'm certainly not talking about their respective abilities to draw crowds right now. But clearly Angelina isn't phased by that; she sang zero Adele covers in Portsmouth last September, but in Vegas she sang multiple. To me, that says confidence, notwithstanding their relative stature in the industry.

The shows were phenomenal! So grateful I was able to attend. They were not sold out. In fact I talked to a number of locals who received free tickets to fill out the audience. I want her to be famous right now but the path she is taking is resulting in a kind, beautiful soul for our special princess. I’ll continue to enjoy every chance I get to see her live. At some point tickets will be hard to come by. Remember, Elvis didn’t start his residency on the same stage until he was 34.
a lot of folks standing after many songs. don't know how many full ovations she got but i think long time fans will always be happy to hear her old school youtube days. they better put togehter a youtube box set with best of comments, reactors and long time subscribers etc.
I really enjoy your reactions. Very sincere and not 'over the top'. James Thiel has excellent edits from the concert and is all about promoting Angelina. Excellent sound quality, although nothing compares to being there live. I'd be inclined to wait for him to post more. I believe he'll eventually do most if not all of them. This was one of my favorite songs from the concert 🍁
Both shows were very full. (Not technically a sellout because the balcony wasn't open). Angelina recovers songs. She emotes so much emotion.

James Thiel is working on high quality cuts of the entire concert, so you're lucky enough to react as much as you want.
As for Adele - I don't really find it robotic, the impression only arises because it sounds "warmer" / more approachable when Angelina sings her songs.
As for the set list - she just added something more because it's Vegas, her two summer tours in 2017 (11yo) and 2022 (16yo) only had 16 songs ;-)

Not sold out. Her gaining the repect and popularity she deserves is taking far longer than anyone expected. If 1% of people who subscribe to her YT and social channels showed up, it would have overwhelmed the place. But she did draw from a huge geographic area. Have believe that announcing the shows more than 50 days before the happened didn't help. It's like releasing her Christmas album three weeks before Christmas. Weird.
Not even 50 days. She announced the concert on Instagram on January 25. They went on sale the next day. So just a month and a couple days before the shows. Could be that the date had just become available. It seems like Angelina is still taking it slow. She apparently has said that the wants her career to grow organically.

New subscrber and an angel from South Africa . Angelina's cover of Adele's songs is because the latter is one of the "greats" and her influencer . She acknowledges Adele thus pays homage to her. Angelina is very comfortable to be nobody else but to be Angelina and her songs and covers portrays this. Angelina has released some of her songs and a lot in the pipeline , is a song writer, an author, a philanthropist since 6yrs old jusr to name the few. I hope this will address baseless opinions about Angelina 's covers. There is nothing wrong with the expression of an opinion. However it must be based on research otherwise it will injure other people's feelings and emotions.

Adele is a wonderful singer and has created beautiful songs, I don't dare compare Angelina but, personal opinion, no one manages to put their stamp on the covers like she does, I agree that Aurora is very talented but my heart and soul have been stolen by 3 singers, Nora Jones, Paolo Nutini and Angelina, thank you Ashlena, I always look forward to your nice reviews, good life and music.

Unfortunately neither set was sold out, although they did their best to block out areas to keep the main area full. In my opinion the reason was ticket price, $79 to $500, and two shows back to back caused a lag in sales. I would have had 1 show with a much lower price spread, the purpose wasn’t making money, it was exposure and introducing her to the US audience, and as Las Vegas is a family town for the most part, it would have been in their interest to get as many people, especially young people since Angelina has an older fan base, as possible at the show. But they did a good job producing the show in Vegas style.
Agree 100 percent, this was beautiful, really better than the original. Wait till you hear her performance here of "My Funny Valentine". She already had an amazing rendition from about two years ago, but this is at another level. She really, really, must love that song. I couldn't make this performance, but hopefully, her family will give enough advance notice for the next, that I can. Thanks for your appreciation of this beautiful young lady. It's nice to feel all the love she pours out with that voice.

The difference between Adele and Angelina is that Adele is great, but in the realm of 'Pop', whereas
Angelina is a true 'Jazz' specialist on the level of Billie Holiday and that brings emotion laden penetration

She got a record contract. She has to move it so she can’t do no more concert with the records. Seems like age of 14 seven gonna be 18 January 10 so she’s gonna come to LA do another concert but she worked the recorder concert record paid and had to work work that out between the age of 14 she’s really famous around the world. I don’t think she’ll be in Toronto for a while cause the next one be, no she did mount New Hampshire and she be going to a big concert at Norway. I think what it is if you want to one of her friends club him so I think I’ll be in Norway they’ll be about 10,000

Saying Adele sounds robotic and doesn't switch up her songs is interesting but that's your opinion. I'm guessing you probably haven't actually listened to her music. It's really only the older people who enjoy Angelina which makes sense. Adele writes and sings all her own songs and no one sings them better, she herself said she doesn't even like people covering her music because it's just never right. It'd be nice to see Angelina not just use Adele's music and maybe make her own stuff for once. I'd rather pay to see something original not to watch someone sing songs that aren't theirs and not anywhere as good as the original.

She does write her own “stuff” 13 originals recorded so far and says she has written over 100, and Adele has said she is honored when Angelina covers her songs so it doesn’t sound like she has the problem you do. Peace
