The girl with a thousand voices gives us another one. I’ve listened to Angelina for five or six years, and I never heard this voice. The weight and depth of her voice when she leans into those notes is amazing. She’s a jazz singer at heart, and we rarely see her let it go like this. Great song, great lyrics, great music.

There just doesn't seem to be a style of music that she can't adapt to and excel at. I once watched a reaction to Floor Jansen. If I have the name right, she was the vocalist with Nightwish, I believe, and I thought to myself that Angelina could sing those songs if she had a little time to adapt. I also thought the opposite was entirely possible as well. I even thought that given time to practice and learn that Angelina could be at least a workman level opera singer if she wanted to. To me, she reaches deeply into my emotions with her voice, any of them. She just seems able to sing anything from the most subtle to the most powerful and grandiose. Then, there is the kind of human being she is. Kindhearted, charitable, fearless, and humble are the virtues that she seems to embody. I just love this young lady. ❤️❤️❤️❤️👣

Many artists blow up big when promoted and are well marketed but fade away shortly after. Angelina on several occasions said that she wants to creat timeless music and that is what she's doing. From being inspired by Billie Holliday, to channelling Screamin' Jay Hawkins in I Put a Spell on You, to reinventig Bohemian Rhapsody, to performing an incredible live version of Bad Valentine, Angelina is fulfilling her mission of creating timeless music. We are extremely lucky to accompany her on this journey.

This song definitely has hit potential. It all comes down to promotion which realistically there has been little to none for her music to this point. It is also very difficult to break into the charts so we’ll see what the plans are to get her exposure.
FYI, one of Angelina’s songs will appear in the new Netflix movie A Family Affair that premieres June 28. It stars Nicole Kidman, Zac Efron and Kathy Bates. No official word on which song it will be but there is speculation that it may be Love Don’t Let Me Go as in an Instagram story she posted announcing this, it’s playing in the background.
Even with the promotion I mention, it’s still not a guarantee that the song or Angelina will break out at this time, no matter how great she or the song are.
There are over 100,000 new sings released every day on the streaming services. Who knows how many amazing songs there are that will never see the light of day just because of the numbers.
The industry is so competitive and sometimes it seems that that there is no real rhyme or reason as to who makes it big and who doesn’t. I’m sure we all feel there are artists that have amazing popularity that don’t really deserve it based on their “talent” while there are others that should be world stars but nobody knows about them.

Just want to say that while Hayley Williams is a decent singer, she is in the same mold as just about every other female singer including Swift and Rodrigo.
Vocally they are
extremely overshadowed by Angelina Jordan.
There are only a couple female artists that can compete with Angie's vocal ability, and Hayley ain't one of them.
I guess it boils down to what a person likes or prefers, but when gauging the sheer talent of singing, Angie and a couple more are 10's and the rest come in at around 5 or 6 at best.
With that being said, your reaction was fantastic and i.think you are right in saying this year or next will be her break thru year, although i don't think it really matters that much to AJ, as it does to her fans.
She is just way too humble and laid back for that to be so important to her right now.

She has some real power. I saw Angelina for the first time when she was like four month old (lol) She has a very distinct way of singing. Its is clearly an emulation of the late and great Amy Winehouse. I will say though, that Amy Winehouse is far better than Ms Jordan in interpretation. Cos she new what she was singing about. Her sound came from hard, gut wrenching experience. I could never gel with Ms Jordan. When ever I see her on stage or other. It always feels more like a performance from her, than "this is what I believe" Vibe you should get. I may be horrible unfair here but still ... I just feel she has to go a few more miles in life to make her interesting.

This isnt my favorite song. It makes angelina seem mean ? shes too nice to do this song. It dont work. The first song of hers I dont like. I thought I would never say that. What was Toby thinking ?
