    Stupid scene ! Darkness was weakened, she was on her knees, ready to die. The Light was not weakened, so he had his FULL power. Now, why The Light has been beaten just like he was an simple angel ? I can't understand that !
    The episode was good but this scene was a piece of shit ! The writers think we are dumb. Witches can hurt Amara, but Amara can beat God with one hand ! Come on !

      I think that all of these "deaths" aren't what it seems; especially talking about God, and even Lucifer. That's why they showed this, even with the (for me obvious) possibility that they're alive (somewhere, somehow; including the entity Death) , this scene has an intense meaning.
      I loved this aspect of SuperNatural, always open to all possibilities (in essence nobody truly dies here) so they can bring back virtually anyone, depending on the story they want to develop. Of course, the writters doesn't have to abuse if this, but the haven't; we have several characters (human esp.) that after their death, doesn't come back to a one to one conversation ( on Earth).

    I am really liking the actress that plays Amara in this episode. Real good acting and you can almost feel her pain. I hate that she killed lucifer but death isn't always the end in spn. I see that people hate that she beat god and nearly killed him but I kind of understand the writers. The second to last episode is the penultimate episode and what's more shocking when the boys greatest hope is down for the count? But people will complain about every tiny detail. Just enjoy it guys. Don't dissect it, it will ruin the whole picture if you do.

    Am on with Amara she was put away for no reason at all and she was ready to let God kill her but instead he tried to put her back on the cage I think thats reason enough for her to actually use her true power against them ..for light and darkness are equal so should their power.

    Honestly, what I kind of want(ed) to see was God "taking one of the team" and taking the mark himself as his own "cross to bear." Or, even weirder, Amara getting even and creating a "mark" to bind God, and taking *that* mark herself. But, kind of like Evil Buu eating the jolly fat Kai in DBZ, maybe it slowly turns the Darkness "good" in the same way that the original mark turned people "evil" (into demons). Would be a little poetic. Amara sequestering her brother, Chuck getting his penance, and in the end, Amara turning to the light, or at least the "neutral" (cancellation/blending of light and dark into something of a "gray"). Would be kind of interesting if they did that and then Amara basically turned into a neutral observer, wandering, exploring God's "creation" to decide if it's worth saving/sparing. On her own terms of course, and maybe not entirely "all good" or "all neutral" all at once. There'd be an adjustment period as Chuck exerts his own mark-ish influence over her.

      @espsportsmaniac381 Před 8 lety +1

      +spesfloret First off, they are not dead, at least I know Chuck is not. For the same reason he would not kill Amara, she can not kill him, or existence would cease to exist. Chuck already explained this, there must always be balance, no existence, no season 12.

    • @spesfloret
      @spesfloret Před 8 lety +1

      +ESP Sports Maniac Exactly, Chuck can't be dead... unless who can and want to do it (only Amara it seems, and Death of course, wherever he is) assume the fact that the (this) universe ceases to exist... this entities, theorically, can do that because they can "exist/live" outside time and space (dimensions and so on).
      +dead pool Yes, Castiel now all himself (without luci), seems to be safe and sound, according a promo/spoiler pictures I saw of episode 23; which I'm very excited waiting... !

  • @Nuvendil

    You know, Supernatural, I am getting really freaking sick of these "fights." I can count on one hand the big climactic fights that were actually, you know, FIGHTS. Leviathans? Ambushed. Michael and Lucifer? Never touch each other. Crowley? They fought him once, sorta. Raphael? Wiped out in one second. And now THIS? For goodness sake stop building up these conflict, establishing that these two are equal and power, and then throwing all your rules out. Is your special effects budget piss? Do you only have a choreographer who specializes in bar fights? You couldn't just have them FIGHT each other and both limp away? You would still have her loose for your precious finale.

    • @1Drakorn
      @1Drakorn Před 8 lety +1

      THIS! A HUNDRED TIMES THIS! I am getting really sick of them building up a conflict every time and then having little to no payoff. In fact, Seasons 1-5 were the only ones that had ACTUAL payoff. The build-up to the battle with Azazel was fantastic and they actually had a decent fight! The build-up to Lilith was great and the Season 3 finale was fantastic. Lilith's death, while having no real fight, made sense because it was planned. And the confrontation between Michael and Lucifer was decent as well, although here it already started to go down the "no payoff" route, since there never really was a fight. However, they made up for it by Sam sacrificing himself for real. Season 6 had some payoff but Raphael went out WAY TOO EASY! The same with Dick Roman and the Leviathans. They were described as the first beasts, the hardcore ones. And then they all go out in one go. The angel conflict in Season 8 DID have some payoff but definitely not the one we expected. Abaddon's death was just shit because she didn't really do anything there. Demon Dean was THE WORST because we never really saw Dean being an actual Demon, he was a dick to say the least. The whole Mark of Cain plot was resolved very strangely. DEATH'S DEATH was another horrible part, HOW CAN YOU KILL DEATH??? AND WITHOUT A FIGHT??? And then the Darkness pretty much came out of nowhere. And then THIS happened: Metatron, just gone, Lucifer, just gone, God being defeated without any sort of defense. Seriously, they BETTER make up for it in the Season Finale. And I honestly still can't see how they want to do 2 MORE seasons after this!

    • @MGmirkin
      @MGmirkin Před 8 lety

      +alfoul Do you even SPN?
      The mark was a curse created by God to trap/bind Amara to a "host." Originally, Lucifer...
      I think, right now, she's basically taken the mark as her own, thus she's bound only to herself, of a sort. Though, ostensibly there's still some linkage to Dean per the first couple episodes of the Amara story arc. I seem to recall the mark still showed on him briefly, showing they were still 'linked' in some form as yet undisclosed.
      God was trying to move the mark back to a different host (Sam), in order to re-bind her, when she was like "nah, not again!"
      But, no, the mark was not inherent to Amara, it was like a sigil created by God to bind her to a "host" vessel and keep her trapped.

    • @alfoul
      @alfoul Před 8 lety

      +Michael Gmirkin Yes but Amara said herself in 11x09 that she IS the original mark, which seems to contradict what Death said in 10x23, which is that Chuck CREATED the mark just to imprison Amara.

Amara basically goes through every type of power house Demons crowley helped feed and grow this bitch, the angles tried to smith her, was no where near effective as it is now. In my opinion the reason why God didnt hurt her or used his power against her when Amara lifted him up into the air, was because he is GOD. And god only creates but doesnt destroy. If god used his power to cause pain then he would slip out of his role. Because only those, that are not perfect uses their force to hurt someone or sg. But GOD IS THE LIGHT. he is THE GOOD. He loves everything he created. It was a great idea not to make god fight against Amara. WOuldnt it be strange for u, if God actaully stabbed amara in the back?? That is not what the father of universe does. HE ONLY CREATES but doesnt destroy a thing. He is sinnless. He is perfect. He had to stay clean. And what i also think is that Lucifer's death was needed. if he would have fought amara, his wessel would have been completely destroyed and so have castiel. And i also think that there is sg behind the death of GOD and Luficer..maybe there was a cause behind it. God died for amara's sins or sg. And i think that that big glowing sg at the end when Rowena looks up is either Micheal or Death. maybe Death is comming to reep God..or sg. Or another way is that its God pure body-less BEING. His Grace and Soul. or sg like this. guys dont worry we going to have a hella season ending even if this ep was kinda shitty

    For all the themes of Christianity and such, where is Jesus, God's son, who is also himself, in all this? Does he still exist in the world? Could he be a potential weapon against Amara / Darkness? If he *is* God... 2.0? 1.5? Could he succeed where God failed, since he's not only of God, but also of Man? Thus perhaps slightly less "Lord-ly," more able to say "I'm sorry" and "I was wrong" to Lucifer / Amara than God 1.0 is/was? Perhaps *He* could redeem her, where God could not? Show her the beauty in the world and the things worth saving, having lived as a true human or part-human for a time.
    I'm sure they could spin all sorts of things...
