L would just make the circumference bigger, and it affects the way it looks from behind. there's gonna be a lot of excess jacket. unfortunately JA here doesn't show us the back but he admits he took a larger size than normal, and I can kinda see there is a lot of excess jacket on the back. not my look. I'm 6'1 and it looks like M is the go to, unless you want super oversized, I'd stick to your normal jacket size
