World Cup Downhill mountain bike racers shred the first day of riding on a brand-new track in Szczyrk, Poland for practice. The day started out nice, but then it rained creating a slippery, sloppy mess that was entertaining for fans!

Just to clarify. Enduro series is in Bielsko-Biala and DH track is in Szczyrk.

This is a proper DH course. Had a little of everything. Its gonna be some good racing.

Great footage John et al. For a WC DH round, track doesn't look that challenging for large parts, hopefully it is more challenging to ride.
It looks like it wasn't built with World Cup speeds in mind. The features look very small in places. And some of the doubles look like they were built in the wrong places.

Looks sick, too bad I refuse to pay to watch crappy Discovery broadcast. Gwin is the best commentator they have, Josh Carlson is not bad either but everyone else sucks, especially Rick!
Not very kind to Rick, but I would agree. His knowledge is vast, but the delivery is not to the level that we are all used to after Rob's enthusiastic performances. Tbf, not saying I could do any better.
I'm sure the racing will be tight, but the course looks boring. Not many places where riders can find creative lines and too many catch berms. Then the few steep, loose sections just look like a garbage afterthought.
