What an amazing and exciting night... Love the show! Lion Dance looks so much fun... Well performed... Enjoy the Festival my friend...
Lion Dance performance standard is getting higher every year. The guys jump from pole to pole easily. They must have practiced very hard for this.
Cool to see this show! Fantastic performances 😍 Nice share ✨
Thanks for watching my friend. I had been offline for some weeks. Will resume watching your wonderful uploads 😀

Wah seh! I guess I will have to put this into my next year's calendar!
The competition is very interesting and challenging. Join me next year!
@@SingaporeCityWalks steady bro
艺威 was really awesome. and are u the one filming with the big camera?? I could be standing beside u filming with a mobile phone last night... 🤣🤣
Are you the tall guy, seated at the front row left corner seat? You stood up a few times to let me check the clearance above your head for my big camera to zoom in to the high poles.
@@SingaporeCityWalks oh. then I am mistaken. I thought you are the camera guy on the most left corner end with the cinematic camera. and yes, I saw the tall guy too. 😂
@@MomentArchives That’s my big video camera at the left corner position by the railing. And the cameraman is my friend. I had to attend a function that evening and my friend helped me record the competition. I was there recording with my iPhone and left after the 1st performance. Were you there during the 1st performance?
@@SingaporeCityWalks oh. i see. i walked around. i only come to that position at 2nd and 8th performance.
Hey bro..... Music 7:10
The lion put on a pair of goggles to dance to this music!
Pinagra Suji pandan
Thanks for watching!
7:15 nice lion😂
Thank you for watching, my friend.
Ngee Ann Kongsi is Teochew clan. There was a big Christmas tree before Takashimaya was built.
OIC. Are there any old photos of the place before Taka was built? Thanks for watching.
@@SingaporeCityWalks No,
I noticed that some of their team mates will run towards the stilts just before or when the lion is mounts the stilts. Is that to 'standby' in case they fall? Just curious..
I also think this is for their safety in case they fall. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment ❤️
@@SingaporeCityWalksthey actually are putting back / moving away the safety cushion as the lion need space to get down and up of the poles
@@AnsonWong-sd1um OIC thanks!
I admired the performance of these hardwork but I am puzzled that these performers of cymbal and drum. Their pattern of displaying and shouting with actions exhibited a clear CLOWNS of themselves !!???!!!! I prefer the original culture of lion dance …
This competition awards points for originality, so the teams try to stand out from the rest. It's quite refreshing to see the teams dressing up as Shanghai gangsters, coolies, warriors, prawns, school boys/girls etc.
