    Dear Sachin, Is it important to upload any evidence for accommodation in the UK, such as a tenancy agreement, when applying for a skilled worker visa application? Because the document upload page has an option to upload accommodation evidences.

    Hi this is really informative. But just a small correction: for recent graduates or on graduate visa it’s not 80% it’s 70% of going rate that applies.

    • @visasolutionsuk

      Yes, 70% of the going rate for the SOC 2020 occupation code or 80% of £38700(i.e. £30960), whichever is Higher, should be paid

    Could you please explain what’s the meaning of ‘’whichever is higher’’ : if taking 30,960 or 80% of going rate

    • @visasolutionsuk
      @visasolutionsuk  Před 3 měsíci

      Correction, 70% of the going rate for the SOC 2020 occupation code or 80% of £38700(i.e. £30960), whichever is Higher, should be paid.
      For example, if the 70% of the going rate is £30000, then you should be paid £30960, however, if the 70% of the going rate is £31000, then you should be paid £31000

    I'm confused if a recent graduate applying for a skilled work (except care worker) visa with dependents will have to show £38700 or will it be £30960 (four years)?
    Many people say, if single apply £30960 and if apply with dependent £38700 salary should be shown?

    Hi,
    My employer is willing to sponsor my visa, but the most appropriate job code falls under table 3 of SOC 2020 (national pay scale). After we started the process I was told there are no provisions for new entrant visa for codes in this table. Is that correct? The new position is a band 5 healthcare job but not nhs. Which salary requirement will I need to meet?

    • @Candi-1
      @Candi-1 Před 18 dny

      The SOC is 2226 band 5

    • @visasolutionsuk
      @visasolutionsuk  Před 18 dny

      2226 Other psychologists - this comes under healthcare jobs.
      Yes, you cannot use the New Entrant benefit, since it is as per National Payscale.
      For 37.5 hours working week and Band 5, the salary should be at least £28,407, if the job is in England.

    • @Candi-1
      @Candi-1 Před 17 dny

      @visasolutionsuk the role I am attempting to gain sponsorship through is band 5 as stated by my organization. My employer has been advised that a similar role within the NHS is paid at band 6, which means my salary needs to reflect band 6 and not band 5. This seems very odd to me. Surely the only thing that should be given consideration is the pay band and the role itself needing to map over to reflect nhs salary. It is quite confusing. If you could provide some clarity, please.

    • @visasolutionsuk
      @visasolutionsuk  Před 16 dny

      Your salary should be based on the job description of the role. If you will be doing the day to day work of a band 6, then you should be paid the Salary for a Band 6. Your employer should be able to justify this to UKVI.

    • @Candi-1
      @Candi-1 Před 15 dny

      @visasolutionsuk my employer is also a government organization that operates on a national pay scale. It is an established band 5 position nationally. For some reason the Home office wants my salary to match the band 6 salary for nhs because nhs pays their employees doing a similar role at band 6 level. It is just really confusing.

    Hi mate, I just got the membership. Appreciate your time.
    My situation:
    Graduate visa 4.2022-4.2024
    A 3-year SW visa starts from 3.2024.
    Company redundant me in 6.2024
    Terminated the contract.
    I am under 26 and looking for a new job to sponsor me and update my SW visa.
    Question:
    1. Can I apply to the new entrance route (with a salary of 70% lower going rate or at least 23200) to update my visa? To allow me to work until 4.2026?
    2. My last work day is 12.7.2024. the gov will give 60 days after that? Does that mean as long as I find a new sponsor before that, my SW visa can be updated?
    3. When applying for permanent residence after 5 years SW, will this gap between 2 employment be counted?
    3. Do I need to pay IHS again when applying to update my skilled worker visa due to employer change?
    Thanks a lot🙏

      1. Yes, you can apply as a New Entrant, however, your work end date on the CoS can be latest till 4.2026
      2. You cannot do part time work with your current employer, unless your current employer has reported through the Sponsor Management system the reduction in hours and after the reduction, your Salary should still meet the Salary thresholds for your sponsorship to continue. This would be very difficult to achieve in most cases.

      The minimum salary of £29000 only applies to someone who is on a Skilled Worker visa with CoS assigned on or before 3 April 2024.
      Then when they extend or change employer or file ILR, they should be paid at least £29000.
      So someone whose CoS was assigned on or before 3 April 2024 and they applied for the SW visa on or after 4 April, they still come under the old rules and minimum £29000 would apply to them when they extend or change employer or file ILR.

      The period of time you can apply for the Skilled Worker visa (as a New Entrant) would be 2 years minus the time spent on Careworker visa.
