What about the plastic cards with different size holes in it for measuring hackle length? Do you put the hook in the center of the correct size hole or put the hook shaft against the inside of the hole?

Would it be better to wrap a hackle that is too big or too small, should you not have the correct size on hand?

I mean... how do you end up with both too big and too small out of 100 feathers lol. Honestly this video is a bit of an exageration. You dont need to be this precise with hackle and most people dont really use them that often
