Before the playoffs were over brown was talking about his season, how his skating was his best asset but how it wasn’t there yet and he was struggling. Now he says he feels good, his skating’s back, and you can see it on the ice. You hear the compete level in his voice in post game interviews. I Can see him and Holloway being an important part of edmontons success moving forward as long as they continue with what we’ve been seeing. And I’ve really learned to love Janmark
Broberg is a stud. Who leaves? Vinny?ceci?kulak?
Kulak or ceci or both@@brentmac6342
@@brentmac6342 IF they keep Vinny -- he needs to be in the rink everyday of the summer working on his skating and looking at video for his positional play. And, work with Coffey to improve his game overall. Otherwise, as much as I like Vinny, he's the odd man out.
Gregor still thinks Tanev isn’t an upgrade on Ceci holy shit
Yeah I don't get it man. I think Gregor is watching a different player than all of us
@@andreweichand different than what all the analytics say
Oilers should look at Fredrik Karlstrom. A 4th line with him and Lavoie on it next year could be good with Ryan, Pederson, Hamblin and Bourgault as options. I think Berglund and Grubbe have potential to surprise in the minors next season too. Oilers need to start giving their developing players better opportunities though, but terrible starts to seasons do keep prospects off the roster usually. Essential that Edmonton has a good start to have a better idea of what they have no matter.
i think Gene Principre should be the next GM.
I'll be the next GM.
If we lose Desharnais, does Skinners moral go down based on there friendship?
Lol.
No.
Maybe Nurse is finished mentally with the criticism he gets and wants to get away.
No team in the league would touch that contract. It’s double what he’s worth…
@@boser1212 Hey, someone took PLD…. It sucks that the cap space haven of the Arizona desert is gone lol
@@ML-my8qq true. Florida also took luongo back in the day when no one thought that deal could be done.
Trade to Calgary, eat $5 million per and give next years 1 st
Klef for GM
Kevin Lowe will be the next GM
Paul coffee will be new gm
I think it will be the coach of the London Night's for hos name
That was the rumour before he took the D-coach position. He's second in command. Katz listens to him. And, Jackson better be aware of that relationship because I think Jackson is a little too full of himself. And, by the way it's spelled, Coffey!
A championship NHL TEAM is developed and grown collectively , NOT CONTRACTED OR TRADED INTO . This group has the focus, talent and ability to be that championship team, now is not the moment to slice and dissect, its a definitive growth potential for achieving greatness together building on this and previous years of development .
Except in the case of the Panthers though right?
Numerous teams have traded into Stanley Cups.
Oilers in the 80s
Colorado and Roy
Pittsburgh and kessel
Most recently recently Florida with numerous trades.
Oilers have always been afraid of making the big trade. Eight years of playing with sub par goaltending have caused this team cups!
@@timduhamel5760 however not a single one went to game 7 in the final then next season traded and dissected the team to return the following year to win, that hasn't happened since the late 80's- early 90's
@@patrioticwarrior2345 that is a fair statement. I like this team a lot. I just think an upgrade in net could make all the difference in the world. 1983 oilers made it to the final and got swept. Fans were shocked when they went with the unknown Fuhr the next year. That decision made all the difference. Oilers vets always say they could not have played with a confidence they did without knowing Fuhr would bail them out. This team deserves that.
And Skinner is no Moog!
LA,Vancouver and Dallas. Easy road
Idot. Dallas was the top team damn near. And van was top in the west.
@@tomfletcher2345 weak division
What a bold and unifying statement it would be if all UFA, and RFA players rallied to all remain with others talking a pay cut to meet cap space .
Restricted free agents: Dylan Holloway, Philip Broberg
Unrestricted free agents: Connor Brown, Sam Carrick, Warren Foegele, Sam Gagner, Adam Henrique, Mattias Janmark, Corey Perry, Vincent Desharnais, Troy Stecher, Calvin Pickard

Hard to do that with nurse and Campbell grossly overpaid..
Holloway, Broberg, brown, Janmark, foegele, Henrique would be ideal to keep. Desharnais on the cheap too. And pickard certainly proved himself this year, be nice to keep him… but not enough coin to keep em all.
Unfortunatelystuck with nurse (nmc) and likely have to buyout Campbell.
Hoping we get some discounts. Gotta factor in Leon, Bouchard and McDavid coming up in next couple years too. Not an easy task for the next gm.
@@robclark9893 they almost all have agreed in principle to each taking a pay cut to accomplish that very thing within next years cap space .
Game 7 they didn't have goals... they were passive for some reason I hate to even think. Were they ALL sick? No extra stride, no hunger for the puck.... backing into the zone from waaaay out leading the single puck bearer right to the goalie? No fire... just a total collapse. Bet365 and parasitic orgs pay the nhl advertising bills... I am not convinced really, but it begs the question. nhl rule enforcement is totally subjective... NFL last minute in the superbowl, you hold, there's a penalty...always! a penalty! Not a knee on knee 10 seconds before another gets called and causes a game suspension...too weird. Crosschecking is a whimsical spin the bottle unless someone dies from it...then maybe...but other times a one shot gets called but the one a minute ago with three deadly strokes is uncalled. NHL is an amusement, but too many shady Grey areas to be taken seriously. I've watched extremely close the last 3 yrs and I'm quite unsure of things. The collapse in game 7 looked like a rerun of Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Where was the team from 4-6? A dry husk? I've watched since the 80s and I don't say what I said lightly...very disappointing...but more than that...it seems fake. To be flat in the game of games ...the childhood dream...wow I don't get it... at many points I thought maybe the whistle had been blown cause of backing off from attacking the puck...but it wasn't. Anyway, nothing would surprise me. Then the interviews where they aren't even fully emotional it seems...weird
Maybe get a real NHL goalie. Skinner is not that..
I agree
Exactly! We have literally wasted seven years with subpar goaltending.
Bring back Cory Perry, he wants to win a cup so badly
lol, no.
@@aaronst.pierre3080 Exactly. NO. He's too slow.
Oilers needs a good backup ffs don't bring back the same bunch this guy don't have a fucking clue
They have a good backup. His name is Skinner. They need a starting goalie.
