He earned a degree in business administration from the University of Utah and went on to earn an MBA from Harvard Business School and a doctorate in religious education from Brigham Young University. Covey was also a professor at the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University. He passed away in 2012, leaving behind a legacy of books and teachings focused on personal and professional development.
