He got legislation passed that would lower the minimum wage in these places so that the min wage is uniform across the state...and would grow as the entire state's minimum wage grows.
This brought tears to my eyes and made me very emotional!! I am 53 years old and have been working since I was 16 and when that lady said she was exhausted I felt that in my chest!!! We must vote 2024 💙 in record numbers or continue to suffer under Republicans who trying to destroy our country and our democracy

I’m 44 and been working since I was 13, I didn’t deserve a lunch break when I worked 6 hrs a day despite going to school. It’s called work ethic…. And if you support children working 8 hours per day and going to school 8hrs per day. Then ur the problem. Children should not be treated as adults. Simple. Companies should not require as much from them and they shouldn’t be treated the same as adults by the companies… 2way street

I'm in home health care and unfortunately we don't get breaks because they need 24 hour standby assistance but we get paid for lunches and eat with them. What's wrong with them eating with the kids they're still getting paid and kids need ungoing supervision.
As.a mother hearing this crazy rules of no required water breaks for outdoor workers.. Luckily the city and country businesses are not so disheartening as the Texas governor and his buddies.
