  • I bought a Russian pryanik (Tula pryanik) and made a 'review' of it. Pryaniki is a kind of traditional baked sweers in Russia, something like gingerbread.
The pryanik in this video is a Tula pryanik. Unlike regular pryaniki, Tula pryaniki are rectangular (shapes can be different), imprinted, have filling. They are produced in the city of Tula, famous for it's pryaniki.

Не знала, что Тула знаменита оружием. Я слышала только про самовары и пряники! 😆

Tula is also famous for Yasnaya Polyana, Leo Tolstoy's estate!

I like this review. I've never tried these. I think about trying to make a home made recipe for this.

When I was doing research for this video, I found this recipe czcams.com/video/mOUuBc6p538/video.html It's in Russian but with English subtitles. Haven't tried it though, not very good at cooking :)

This delicacy looks moist and silky. Do Russian people serve it as desserts, or is it more like a grab-and-go meal ? I would brew a cup of coffee, which should well match with pryanik😊
