Doug and Eevee, you never need to apologize for the “slow” progress. You all are doing marvelous work. On Two properties. In heat. And raising and home schooling two children. The kids are growing up knowing what real work looks like.
Plus filming, editing, narrating several videos per week. And posting those videos! I’m so grateful when I get to see something you are currently working on, but I can return to previous projects if it’s a while. Bless your hearts.

I am so proud of you guys. I’ve lived in mobile home throughout my life. I’m 84 and I would have loved to live in this one.
You all have done a lot of work since I last watched!! Such hard workers. You have lots of helpers I see! LOL. Just do you & let them wonder why in the world you did it that way! At the end they will HAVE to say it is fantastic. You & your family are all so talented. I want to wish you a Happy Fathers Day for tomorrow. Might as well do it right the first time. I asked the carpenter to change some wonky doors in the jack n Jill bath and he didn’t because he would’ve had to have moved the electrical but I thought, hmm he could’ve move the other side. And by the time that happened the wall finisher had come in. I didn’t want to have things undone but it was a big mistake. It still bugs me 18 years later. 😂
Doug, this is EXACTLY what I talk about when I’m explaining why I LOVE watching your videos. You produce something but if it doesn’t work or isn’t going to work, you figure it out without freaking out. And while doing it, you show us that if it doesn’t work, it’s no big deal. Just take your time, figure it out and make it work. To me, you are an unlicensed “Master” Contractor!😜💕

I went to visit my mom and dad yesterday, but mainly dad for Father's Day. They now live in a rural county in Georgia since retiring. Never have I ever thought twice about living in a mobile home. However, on my drive down, I found myself looking at mobile homes the ENTIRE time thanks to you guys 🙄😆🥰. I was thinking of all sorts of renovations I could do if I purchased one. Keep up the wonderful work. Most of all, keep inspiring 🙏🏼 ❤.
You are a natural teacher, explaining what you’re doing and why, makes it so understandable. As a parent some don’t explain things to kids and sometimes you can’t or shouldn’t explain but kids never learn if you don’t demonstrate reason and thought process to them. That turned into a bit of an unintended rant. What I really want to say is GOOD JOB 👍 BRAVO 👏 Thanks for sharing we love you guys ❤❤
At first, I wouldn't say I liked the black color...but it is growing on me. Summer is here already, we have had 100 temps this month. You guys are awesome workers and I am so happy to see the progress. You two are perfectionists no matter what you do, which says a lot about your integrity.
You both look and sound more confident with every new improvement that you install. I love this progression. I'm rooting for you all!
The inside of the trailer is looking great !!! Putting in that plywood and those extra 2x4 to make the trailer stronger and more durable was a genius idea. This trailer is already much better than it was when it was brand new !!! Great job Doug !

So good to see you both appreciating how much you have already achieved. I often think you don’t appreciate how much you do because, as you say, it’s behind you. There has been a massive amount of work done just to have all the light there is in the home.

When ever we did changes in our mobile.
We always added more strength in the
framing of the walls. The more I watch
you do showers. I am more certain of
getting rid of the garden tub in the Master
bath and put a walking in shower. Turn
the old shower into a closet. I don't know how soon but I am going to do it. Thanks

Well done Eevee and Doug! Well done indeed!! When finished you will have a brand new, 40 year old mobile home - actually better than when new. Although I am not usually a fan of galley kitchens the description of your layout makes perfect sense. Much better utilization of the 60' length. No hallway of wasted space. And your bedroom mini-split placement is brilliant! They will almost disappear. I always learn so much from Eevee and Doug!
With all the reinforcement you added to the end walls of the home, and now the solid structure of the bathroom walls in the center of the home, it's pretty much as secure as you can get in a "mobile home!" 😉
I learned this lesson looking after 3 parents. All the applications plus my last xhild and all the things. I put it into perspective day by day. I would say what do I need to do today. Then plan for each week. It was overwhelming at times. I try to keep that perspective to this day. You and Ashley do many things and you do it very well.
I have really enjoyed watching you remodel your mobile home. You both are very hard workers and able to figure all this stuff out. I know filming it is a pain, but I sure do appreciate it.

It’s really great that you’re taking your time and thinking through all the possibilities of what might happen with placement of drain and the mortar bed. I kind of feel that most people just throw things together and hope there’s not any problems down the road but there usually are. (thinking about new construction homes) The house is starting to come together and with everything you bring in, it just feels like it’s going to get there quickly. One day’s progress may not be as much as you hoped for but as you said, taken all together since you started working on this project you two have done an amazing job! Even more so since this isn’t the only thing you have been working on! Plus taking much needed breaks to enjoy yourselves and have fun!! 💕👏👏👏💕

I would recommend some sort of internal window drapes / coverings to keep prying eyes from seeing inside while you are away. Loose tools and lumber/fixtures make tempting targets. Great progress.
Cheap shower curtains or sheets from the thrift store is an easy way to do this. Even better, black contractor bags sliced and taped up work very well as they are dark and don’t send a message to the street that we are hiding goodies inside.

Sheer wall was a very smart decision
Mobile homes do not do well in hurricanes or tornados. Florida gets both, so beefing up the bathroom was a good idea.
As far as I’m concerned you are making great progress. Like you said. Looking at the outside you have accomplished a lot from where you started! And the inside is looking really good too.

Nice size shower. I think it's big enough for a shower chair/bench. That mobile home is looking so well built and pleasing to the eye you shouldn't have any problem renting it. You guys aren't afraid of hard work and I respect that.

Doug said that 1 1/2" didn't matter, but you all know as well as I do that it does matter if Doug redid it. The bathroom area and the laundry/rear entry area is really starting to look like rooms and you can tell what they are. Its no longer just a bunch of studs.
Great progress even tho you didn't get as much as you wanted to get done. Sometimes things take longer than we plan for.

Nice to keep the shower a bit bigger. In our almost 40 y.o. 2 story Condos the upper unit shower pan eventually leaks to the 1st floor shower thru the center drain breaking down, because this is where most people stand in a shower.
One of our neighbors on 2nd floor came in and had the drain lines relocated for a new shower pan, draining at the end where the controls/shower head are. No one stands on that drain area. Problem solved.
I think it is smart to add a level mortar bed to give strong support to the shower pan. For a single story this is fine, but I now see the benefit of a drain at one end, in our situation.

As they say eat the elephant one bite at a time. It’s a wise idea to step back and look at your accomplishments. It encourages you. It’s really looking amazing. My panel is in my bedroom and it’s low as well. I like it it’s easy access for me, I’m vertically challenged lol.

Where I live now I can go outside in 90+ degree heat and still breathe. We're above a mile high here and it's dry air, we miss the rain!!! Anyway good working partners for sure!!! Thanks! I love the summertime in Florida! The nights are gorgeous and not cold. And the water is actually warm to swim in, when we do make it to the beach :) Most of Florida is currently going through a drought. :\
