I like the idea behind the rule. Given time for weird situations, may have to go check where the basket is, what the look is etc. We can argue semantics of how its put in place and how it could be abused, but if theres a time rule in place and if people are timing others shots (lets be honest thats only ever happened to one player, but imagine someone on your card with a stop watch) then they have to make exceptions for weird shots.
They are doing this for one main reason. Add sales. More breaks means more commercials. As a DGN subscriber I feel their whole business plan is misguided and confused. Not to mention how DGN and the DGPT have to work together to profit
More PDGA silliness. I'd rather see them focusing on consistent baskets and tee pads for Pro events before anything else.
That would be a DGPT decision.
So I can TD a tournament and put myself in MA4 and have an assistant TD run it. ($3,000 added cash to MA4)
No because you need an active membership to host tournaments. So that wouldn’t work

@@tdkempton if it’s suspected that you are doing that, both of you could be banned for competing. Also you need to be a certified official to host events. Which is a very hard test which people fail very often. So if you want to go through that process l, just to cheat go for it. You also can’t play c tiers or higher without a membership. So I’m sorry but none of that would work
@@drumlineguy3 It's actually a super easy test. Tons of my friends have done it just for fun and never hosted anything. It's a hypothetical to explain how stupid the rule is not something I'm going to do.. weirdo
