Volt was honestly my favorite member of the Vexos. He had a sense of honor the others didn't. He saved Marucho in the desert, and he didn't willingly throw away Brontes, Mylene threw both him and Elico away, saying they were worthless. And to be honest, if Volt hadn't been so concerned with hurting Brontes and went all out in the battle, he could've won, especially by using the Custom Battle System he used against Hydron.
Strictly speaking, I'm sure Brontes would've understood if Volt had gone all out. Pity Volt's arguably the most emotionally vulnerable of all the Vexos. Maybe that's why Gus threw Brontes out, because he didn't think Brontes deserved a brawler like Volt?
Man, Klaus really grew a lot as a character. He started off as an asshole villain who made Marucho suffer after taking Preyas from him (although it was all because he was under Naga's influence). Then he lost Sirenoid to Masquerade and gained a lot of resentment towards him but eventually forgave Alice and became protective for her as if she was a younger sister. And in this season, he saved Ace from not selling the Darkus energy on the first day like Baron did. And here he verbally bitch-slapped Spectra and sent him back home, which shows the respect he has for the Brawlers. What a guy.
"How dare you pretend to be fighting for the life of your former Bakugan, when you and the one you serve will guarantee their extinction with the creation of the BT System?! Perhaps it's time to reconsider loyalties, Volt. If you care so deeply about Brontes, you must have doubts about Zenoheld's plan for the Bakugan." Gus knows very well about Volt's strong sense of honour, even if he's using it here as a way to lure him into Spectra's service. But deep down, he knows Volt never wants to harm anyone innocent and respects him for not being an absolute lunatic like Zenoheld - which is later proven right when he abandons Vexos before being hunted down by Hydron.

Brontes is discarded to forever wonder New Vestroia in his messed up new body, and Volt is exiled to that separate dimension, along with Lync, Mylene, and Shadow, where the 4 of them would presumably starve to death. Considering Volt was pretty much the only Vexos member besides Spectra or Gus to have any bond with their signature bakugan, it’s just heartbreaking that he and Brontes are separated and meet two horrible fates.
Because he didn't care! If you watch episode 26, you will hear Brontes straight up saying to Gus it was Mylene who dumped him and Elico. And I'm sure ever since they were rescued by Spectra and Gus they gave them full details of what happened.
Never thought I would say this... but if I was a brawler, for once I would team up with Volt. He deserves Brontes back. He's different from the rest of the Vexos. :(
if i was for some reason forced to be friends with one of the Vexos, it would be volt, because he is honorable and fights for his friends, he's kind of like the Vexos version of Shun.

Sorry if i ruin the nostalgia, but Am ngl this show potrays many underlying family issues, unhealthy bonds and sitsuations that could cause severe mental health problems to our young characters if this was irl or show directed for adults (tho most of us are rewatching this as an adults). Maybe thats also one reason why i always come back to watch these, i find some episodes relateble on level one or other, otherwise am here to enjoy the childhood nostalgia.
