      No he is right... He jus gets the chess..
      He just instinctively finds the moves and can predict 3-5 moves in advance.... That's why he does so well in rapid and blitz... Other players maybe good but they rely heavily on prep... So once magnus neutralises their prep and takes them in deep water... They r helpless.... That's why he left classical chess because of tiresome prep that he needs to go through...

Furthermore any attempt at an invasion would be fought off by the Uruguayans as they have guns, and tanks, and planes, also missiles... So this is frankly a stupid proposition you have just made.

    Chess is completely a calculation based game from a mathematical point but that's not for humans, you will never calculate as fast or as an accurate or in depth like an engine, calculations are very important but intuition is more important for humans, that's why Gukesh strongest suite is in classical format in comparison to rapid and blitz that have lower time to calculate and have to rely as Magnus said on understanding of the game.

    • @hulkslayer626
      @hulkslayer626 Před měsícem +17

    • @shehabgamal8640
      @shehabgamal8640 Před měsícem +13

      @@inoutshakeitallabout exactly, when they say memory based, they're referring to the openings or how the same positions can occur a lot so you know what's the best move but no matter how much you play, you will always face a new position because of the number of possibilities, that's why intuition or pattern recognition comes in, you may not know what's the best move but based on other positions in similarity, you just feel what's the right move, you don't have to calculate every possible line when you make the move, you just know it's the right one in that position, unlike engines who always construct binary search trees with weights and calculate very deeply to get the best move, not that it matters because they do it instantly anyway 😭😅.

    • @shehabgamal8640
      @shehabgamal8640 Před měsícem +6

    The point he's making is that he's at the point of seeing a lot more patterns then most, these aren't calculations. His brain kind of just clicks "Oh, i've seen a variation like this before, I know how this plays out in say 10 moves roughly, this is good for me," he sees move patterns and opportunities as a passive exercise intuitively that others have to calculate, but he doesn't some moves feel good, some feel bad, he's intuitive.
    Intuitions is really just imbedded subconscious calculation through reptition though... Where it will fail is in completely novel patterns, that's where the younger players will start getting the advantage.
    The thing is, part of the reason Magnus's endgames are unbreakable is because really there isn't too much new under the sun in small piece number endgame calculation. Granted Stockfish is better than Magnus obviously, but, its not impossible that humans will just intuit the correct strategies for nearly all endgame possibilities eventually and be close to on par with the engines "solving" of all engames under a certain piece count (With a bit more error for humans in the few niche ones that completely defy all other patterns).
    That said, getting to the endgame with enough pieces to have winning odds in a perfect game set is a totally different matter. Thats where the backing off of calculation will "slowly" lead others to eventually surpass Magnus, though, I don't suspect any time soon.

      Si hay un final con suficientes piezas es porque no es un final. Es juego medio.
      Los finales son anti-modulo. Por eso Magnus Carlsen es el mejor en finales de toda la historia, a veces gana partidas en igualdad de material en finales porque simplemente es mejor que los demás.
      Donde mas se utiliza el modulo, es en aperturas y principio de medio juego. Muchas veces esas preparaciones vuelven imposible romper la posición para llegar a finales
      Magnus de hecho, en su pick de elo. Estaba obligado a jugar aperturas poco ortodoxas para intentar ganar ( Recordemos que a Magnus un draw le significaba perder elo contra cualquiera )

      I would say that he calculates too when it is needed. If you do not recognize position, intuition would not help, simple

    I think calculation is good and bad, its tedious and exhausting, but on the other hand its fun when you come up with great moves that you are sure will work.

    He's a lazy calculator because he's integrated it. His brain still does the calculations, but he's gotten so used to it that it's basically background noise to his thoughts.
    It's like if you're an electrician your whole life. At 50, when you're doing work on your home or someone else's home, you start bypassing all the normal, standard checks and just... go for it, and it works out. It's instinct. Humans have a lot of instincts lacking from other animals, but we're capable of building up extremely intricate instincts.
    This also makes magnus more vulnerable to positions he hasn't seen before, because he's gotten used to relying on his instinct and deviation from what he knows (which is absolutely fucking massive) is the only thing that'll consistently catch him off guard. You'd also need to deviate from what he's seen before enough that he can't easily slip the position back to one he's familiar with. His whole line is basically slipping an uncertain position into one where he knows exactly what happens next.
    He still wouldn't be bad at it, he'd still do much better than virtually anyone, but I think that's the only way, other than calculating on stockfish's level, you'd have a chance at beating him.
