Ngl, I love Louis' fit in the beginning
Yeah but it is really bad for youtubes bitrate
Way better than whatever came next. Love that hoodie
Literally my first thought was "omg his sweater is so cool!!"
Same😂
The pants are kinda like Dayz hiking pants.
Chef's pants with a 90's Will Smith jumper is honestly a whole-ass vibe.
Bro is defo gay.
That first fit is the kind I’d give a side-eye but not talk trash about on the off chance you’re just 6 parallel universes of fashion ahead of me.
8:25 "It's not a jug" famous last words
I've had this thought more than once when climbing..
@@SirCamWA it's usually something like "It's not a juuuuuuuug!" from me :)
For me it's usually "that one's absolute shite" lol
yeah, can't happen to me
I hate falling from such heights so much because of injury risk, so I will always look very closely at the top holds.
Apart from Ink content, these are my favourite kind of videos. Louis is truly exceptional at what he does (and Sarah and Sam were great too)
we need some louis and big daddy magnus videos both dynamic and climb extremely hard boulders get it set up :D
A Louis/Magnus collab is so overdue it's not even funny. NEEDS to happen
it's so nice to see someone's genuine process and improvement as they work on their climbs. great coaching and insight in this video. Sarah was such a vibe.
Wow impressed with the four dimensional foreshadowing of that sponsorship! As a gen z though your first outfit was actually pretty stylish
Looking through the comments it seems most people prefer the fit that isn't sponsored and I'm so here for that.
Can't wait to see Louis at London fashion week
Louis: Use your thumbs
Ink: Thumbs are aid
The over-gripping tip is major. One session where my skin was bad going in, I had to force myself to minimally grip everything and it actually made me climb far more technically.
Sarah's such a good sport, keep on crushing!
I unironically love Louis' outfit in the beginning! It's a vibe, and I feel it.
More videos with Sarah! Love her charisma and willingness to think through things and try hard.
Love these kinds of videos. Barely scratching V3 myself, but there's always so much useful and applicable information even for me.
Samesies
Great watching Sarah - she's a great climber!
Love the outfits, man! If you are not using them, send them to me 😂
And, well done, Sarah! You try hard, you improve in spurts and I love your positive vibe.
wow, youre really good at coaching. ever thought about doing that professionally?
thanks to sarah for having exactly my weaknesses!
just started watching the video now but I have to say, theres nothing wrong with your fashion choices! You look excellent! Sorry for the sponsor of the video but you look way better in your own clothes.
these kind of videos are literal gold! soo much to learn from it!
16:42 that's a missed opportunity for a crazy important falling technique. If you're on a vertical / slab wall and you slip, *push* yourself off the wall. She pulled herself back while falling and almost smashed her face against the volume... that was very scary. This is exactly how beginners ends up breaking ankles or legs... or in this case, nose and teeth.
Thanks for the tip!
Perhaps she thought she could save it by pulling into the wall, those holds look good enough to hang from for a second perhaps
Yup, but that's the mistake. You might be able to save a slip but the risk if you fail is just not worth it. You can have a second try but you can't have a second ankle. With sufficient experience, you might try saving a slip but it must only be done if you know you can push yourself off again if you don't manage to. Now here, her COG was already way back when she pulled on the hold meaning the fall was inevitable so that was an error of appreciation. More generally, knowing when to bail is a really important skill that many beginners lack, and one that can have serious consequences, cause a failed save (regardless of the wall angle) implies a very high chance of an uncontrolled fall.. and reception.
@@anneonyme8022 Slipping feet are the only scary falls imo, all the others you can just jump off for control over your landing
but thats not how it is for a lot of beginners
I have kind of fallen in love with the jumper. It's amazing O:
Sorry, but first fit was much better :'D. Even before you were starting to talk about it, I was like, wow what a nice jumper
Okay but I really want that hoodie from the beginning now
Louis' advice is consistently good, he has put a lot of thought into what he says and the way he delivers it. Also, it's really encouraging to watch someone progress through a single session.
On a side note, someone needs to invent a slab microphone :)
Something that feels very relevant to your tips about the second climb: doing boulders that aren’t your style will expand your toolkit for climbs that are as well. Perfect example here, learning to utilize momentum can help with many boulders, not just dynos
As an intermediate climber who is just progressing past through v3-v4 range, this video was extremely helpful and insightful. Thank you so much!
I love the addition of a Kilter Board route on these tips videos. It lets us non UK residents have a go at it and really compare our movements with those of the people in the video. Please more of this!
Great to see those tips resulting in immediate results! Loved how much Sarah is able to analyse her attempts on the routes, and her climbing style in general.
This is such an instructive video. Thanks!
Great student, I found her talking through thought process so helpful/relatable... more sessions with her please! Top tips on activating thumbs and over gripping from Louis. Cheers
I fuck with Louis' first fit. Genuinely really like it, especially the hoodie.
There's a fine line between fashion fit and kooking like Timmy Mallet!
Love these coaching videos and Sarah was a great student!
These tips are awesome and the positivity and encouragement makes a huge difference! I feel like I could watch this all day but do need to work at some point...
This is my favorite type of climbing video, a coaching session for someone who's not at an insane high level. I wish I could be coached by Louis. He seems to be an excellent coach.
Please never stop making these videos!!
Love these types of videos -- great student and teacher as always, well done all
Great vid Louis I learnt a lot!
This is amazing, such good advice
Love these coaching videos. Especially as a new climber!
Fantastic vid, learnt so much along with the Sarah. Love your style of teaching!
Strong looks, we love it.
Well done Sarah! Great video, such helpful tips.
This is so inspiring! She made so much progress, so vicariously proud
trying to break into more v4 climbs lately, so this video is super timely and useful. i will finally face my fear and try more dynos. thank you :D
Great tips! Thanks, Louis!
The knee inside vs outside is so subtle, I would never have noticed that difference if he hadn’t pointed it out
More of this please!
Honestly, I like the hoodie way better than whatever explosion of clip art is going on on the second shirt.
Love this channel, only coaching content I can stomach because it’s not just these niche training tips
More videos with Sarah!! Loved her energy, she was so fun to watch!
Well done Sarah. I'm the same as you - took ages to find out that those stubby things on the side of each of your hands can actually be used in climbing. Took me years to discover my own thumbs so I'm pleased that you have been introduced to yours early.
Slander. I love Louis' outfit in the beginning!
love leaving in the mic scraping against the wall lmao
Yes. Thank you for the amazing video… AND AGAIN ITS ON MY LUNCH BREAK AT WORK. LETS GOOOO
Two things I wish we had in the US: reasonable shipping costs for anything Rungne, and coffee bars at the climbing gym.
Also great growl to start the video, Louis! Love all the videos, but I particularly look forward to these coaching videos. Keep up the great work 💚
Helpful video for my v4 plateau! Though i think that mostly due to my current broken arm. Sarah is a delight to watch figure out improvements so fast.
The "arm inside/outside the knee" tip was really cool, on that move the difference was massive.
Fab Sara!
These are amazing.
I love this new "Louis fashion tips"!
Louis...where are your black and white pants from I unironically love them HAHHAHAH
Great to see a strong black woman on climbing youtube. As someone who shares a gym with the awesome folks of Rotimi's Climbxr crew, representation really matters and also makes for a brilliant climbing vibe too.
Thank you! I love Climbxr. I've moved to training at Vauxeast on Tuesday's but I used to see them a lot on Mondays. Miss the vibes. They're great
Louis, I absolutely love your first outfit.
She lacked the ankle mobility necessary to sit on the hold with one foot comfortably
Round of applause for her tho she was giving it her all in this👏🏽 sesh
Louis is such a great coach
Louis, your fashion choices are much better than these sponsored stuff in which you look boring just like everyone else. Be yourself, stay yourself and be proud of being a bit clownish. That's why we love you and your content.❤
I love Louis's clothes!!!!
Sarah was awesome!
Sarah smashed it, very personable 👍
Love that colorblock hoodie😁🥰
I start most climbs on my very first attempt without reading it much at all strictly because so many climbs feel so different when you actually get on them and the plan I come up with won't work. I just get up on it first, get an idea of what I'm dealing with, then plan out my route for the second try knowing more about how the holds are when I get up there. Could be that I'm just not very good at reading climbs without feeling them out but it works for me.
I do however approach the start of every climb as if it'll be easy so that is a huge part of it.
Exactly the video for me 😁😁
love the first sweatshirt
Love these videos more of these please. But can you please give a short shot of the climb before attempting it so we can pause and attempt to read the climb ourselves before hearing how to do it - thanks.
There was exactly that before every bloc in this video
I love that the bleep at the end is completely ineffective. Like you can hear the bleep, and therefore you know it's meant to be bleeped, but I can still just hear Louis saying "Fuck!"
Yo that fit is CLEAN
perfect outfit Louis
Saw Louis in Manchester depot yesterday filming a vid, happy to say he was dressed like a normal person 😂
I liked the first outfit!
🗽 Your outfit is always a funny start... 😁
.
Your fit at the beginning was great,!
that jumper was fire
the fit is fire sam needs to chill
Daddy Magnus told me not to chill
I got jump scared so hard when she came off the orange v4 it looked like she was a centimeter away from slamming her jaw against the volume 😮 such a great training video though good job Sarah and Louis!
#1) put the original outfit back on, it was tight #2) Dont sell out to magnus without making him come on the channel and sell it himself #3) advocate for climbing gyms to become cooperative employee owned companies, join the movement!!
Where is the hoodie in the beginning from though its awesome!
That intro was a hella good fit.
More Sarah please
You'd be such a great Cbeebies presenter Louis
Oh cool right where I’m at, hopefully it’ll help
Louis looked better in the first outfit, it was a really good fit
do they sell that sweater on rugne? your fit at the start was killer
Nah nah nah, dope video aside, where can I get the hoodie you had on in the beginning?
I need it.
Thank you.
Please do the same video for v2 - v4 :)
I think your first outfit was great, tho!
What watch do you use? And is that something you use for climbing or something else? Thank you! Love your videos!
Hiya, Sarah here. If you mean my watch, it's a Garmin Fenix! I use it to track all my sports, including climbing. I do a lot of different sports so it's good to know my training status otherwise I'm at a bit of a risk of overtraining
the term for the bowling analogy should be dead-rolling
those pants were straight drip
