Note for the Editor: if you stop the music, the viewer knows he is going to drop. Maybe add parts (or just one part) where you stop the music but he keeps going and topping the boulder. Like a fake out to keep the viewers on their toes ;)

I love the way this centre makes the awkward parts of the building into features for climbing holds.

Ahhhh brand new holds! A treat for the eyes, a gift for the hands and a premature death for the skin.
They were honestly brutal
Point Scorer on steroids. This is an epic challenge and great camera work, Sol. The ending was awesome, Sol eating a pastry...."How many am I on?" after Louis had done push-ups, Sol's response, "Umm, Three." with a perfectly straight face. Just....yes.
Just noticed Louis' comments in the beginning. "Sol might be doing hundreds of push-ups." Foreshadowing. Congrats on the commentators curse Sol.
Thought that was gold too. 😂

Always quality content. Minor counting mistakes aside, still seems like a fine way to spend a day.

Looking forward to climbing in London within the new year these gyms look huge, has anyone from Catalyst or out of Cambridge climbed in Cambridge kelsey keridge its small but great boulders, nice challenges , these videos help so much 😀

Louis, how stiff soled are your climbing shoes, or do you have really good strength in your feet?
IIRC, he actually prefers very soft shoes. He's just wicked strong
The Mantras are super soft shoes!
Need to give yourself more of a chance to actually finish that challenge, second attempts being worth half points but not losing a life if successful or something.
Ahh we like impossible seeming challenges though!
I don't care they messed up counting, it means more climbs for us to watch!
New climber here. My biceps hurt so bad after climbing. I stretch and take rest days but it's not helping. Tips???
Our main suggestion would be to go and see a physiotherapist!

Are you telling me there are still new gyms opening using hold color for the grading system?
Depends where you are maybe but the majority of London gyms still grade by colour. Tbh I think it can work quite well depeding on the hold sets used.
Every gym I've been to in Australia has this system, usually they'll have some sort of "wildcard" system or colour just to shake things up.
Seems a bit limiting to the setters... The gym I go to also uses a colour system, but with tape indicating the start holds. The downside is that it makes it harder to point out climbs; "the yellow red one" or "the green blue one" isn't very helpful when both colours could be the grade or the holds 😅
Maybe need bonus points for climbing down on same route.
We would say not doing the press ups is bonus enough!

Bouldering is best
Unfortunately a good portion is to do with the size of buildings available, especially in the city its difficult to have buildings tall enough to hold top rope/lead walls inside

@@CatalystClimbing Sure, just do 20, 40, 80... but V7s are much harder than v5s and should be awarded points accordingly.

@@CatalystClimbing The walls look about 4 meters tall max, and the setting looks like a bland mix between old school and comp style. If I had to guess its owned and operated by business men with no climbing experience.
