    The Raiders did it right; as soon as the Colts game ended, they got on a plane to go to London and had most if not the entire week to acclimate to the new time zone. Bears flew in late week and seemed tired.

      @@andrebowling9864 yeah they do, those games are sold out and the ticket prices are expensive... you have fans all across the world who are Juventus, Milan, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Man Utd, Liverpool supporters etc etc and they not even from the countries where those teams come from. this is how the NFL expands its fanbase by creating open minded fans to their respective sport. NFL is a small sport no where near the levels that of RUGBY, Cricket or Football. its called expansion, imagine a World Cup for American Football.

    Loved this video. As a Rams fan got to see how the Rams get ready for a road trip, whether to Atlanta or London. There is a lot of planning involved. And by the way the Rams didn't seem to mind as they won 37-10 in Atlanta and beat Cincinnati 24-10.

      Im from san francisco, live in new york city, almost moved to LA multiple times before i moved here (been there a bunch of times) , went to London this past summer and i can definitely attest to the fact London is amazing. Its a much better "city" than LA, if you like big cities with lots of culture London is amazing. I would totally live there

      two replies and both miss the point. The electricity in the uk runs hotter and can fry equipment easier. Bringing a generator you can take with you.. such as a practice field removes some undesirable outcomes with a preemptive solution.
      Realistically something previously probably went wrong so they put it on the to bring list.

      DZsquid it could work easily if they manage the schedule. East coast teams play in London and west coast can play Monday or after a bye. There’s only like 4 teams on the west coast anyway so the super long flight time isn’t the norm.

      68 degrees Fahrenheit aka 20 degrees Celsius is not an oddly specific number... 20c degrees is room temperature its the perfect balance for the human body and its metabolism during sleep time, it also helps those players with allergies or more prone to getting the cold or the flu. common for all professional players across the world specially those travelling abroad.

      Twice, but not since 2012 against the Rams. The other was 2009 against the Bucs. Both were blowout victories. They also did the Mexico City game in 2017.
      The only NFL team that will never have played a London game after Houston plays its first tomorrow is the Packers.

    Wouldn't it be smarter if the NFL just stored basic supplies like IT and medical for all teams in London all year round? Every team only has a single game in London, but that way it can be used by all teams that play in London. Just ask the teams what they need (it will probably not differ that much) and then split the (much lower) bill.

    Incredible how much effort they have to put into this. Also, what happens to the equipment that took them 5 months to send to the UK? Do they bring it back and receive it 5 months later?

      since they're no longer on an actual timetable for when they need that gear back, they probably put it on a cheaper/longer freight shipping route and just get it back during the offseason; plus, they have less stuff to ship back, since all of those consumables like food and perishable medical supplies are obviously gonna be used up, so no need to provision as much shipping capacity

      @@MisterOwlz What's that based on exactly? The food quality is better than the US in alot of cases with more stringent regulations regarding additives, preservatives etc. Just because something might taste different in the UK, doesn't make it sub par.
      Ofc, there are always gonna be some things that are more easily sourced fresh on the other side of the world like Avocados, and vice versa. But both the US and UK are wealthy developed nations with plenty of good food to go around.

      One game across the pond with a bye week after won’t be that hard to manage. The only concern would probably come when it’s playoff time. London team definitely has to do 4 away games straight and need a temporary US facility.
