- Test riding a Suzuki RMZ 450. Not sure why people hate on this bike, because it has a kickstart I guess? The ergonomics are great and it's easy to squeeze the bike. The handling is solid. The power is smooth and very usable. Suspension felt totally fine to me but the track wasn't very rough. If Suzuki vids got more views I would absolutely own one again. The track conditions were awful but it's always a good day on a dirt bike :) Thanks for watching!

People talk shit about these bikes without even trying them. They are very strong. My Kawasaki feels tame compared to the Suzuki
because it's trendy to hate on Suzuki for some reason. Definitely a solid bike 🤘🏼
my jr80's oil injection cap broke on a crash and rode for another hour without noticing. shot all the oil out onto the side of the bike. was out in the boonies so we slapped a kitchen sink plug into it and filled it with old boat oil we found. ran like a champ for two more days and had no issues since lol. smoked like crazy for the first 10 mins but ran strong after that.
@@DerekHallman Seriously whats that about? Its so slow the front fork is so stiff its unrideable blah blah I just picked one up for 6000$ otd and its an absolute riot to ride

My big brother owns a 2017 Suzuki and it's a 450 I forgot what type it is but I really love Suzuki's it's weird that people talk bad about this rmz 450 suzuki
The RMZ450 is awesome! It's my daily ride for Roberts and Morgans. It has to be the easiest 450 to ride. It handles soooo well. Doesn't do anything weird or scary. Perfect for weekend warriors. Good vid!

I have a 22 450 with the full Yoshi Titanium RS-12 Exhaust...thing is a beast & still see no need to change from factory mapping, so much usable power left over. I ride more trails & old gravel pits than track. Same complaint as everyone else, every little hit to the front wheel shivers through my old hands & arms, still working on getting it right for ME. Rear susp. seems fine with a few adjustments, it's the front that's getting me, every root, rock etc. sends shock waves through my bones. The bike doesn't feel wide or heavy, the cockpit feels narrow & comfortable. I wish it had E-start tho.
Overall it seems like a great all-around bike but I'm sure they would sell a lot more if they put an e-start button on it. I bet that yoshi pipe on yours sounds wicked!
@@DerekHallman It does sound nasty!! For sure, putting a battery in it would allow for mapping through phone apps & the E-Start. But with cost being lower than the others, I don't mind the KS, it kicks easy. But I get it & agree.
Sounds like you need to go up a spring rate on the fork springs
I have a 19, putting the 250 rear shock on is NIGHT and DAY. Handles amazing, woods and moto. Plenty of motor for the average guy. I looked into that place btw going April 🤘😎

Why would you put a 250 shock on a 450.. isn't it the same shock?
@TopRevs no the 450 comes with Showa and the 250 comes with KYB. I'm 220lbs I had 105-115mm of sag in the rear BFR stock shock and I couldn't get it to squat right, maybe because I was heavy the travel was already being used up? Idk it would squat 2 inches then the bottom of it would be very stiff and harsh for another inch then that was about it. KYB fixed that issue immediately.

Just bought a 2023 rmz450.I really like it .good power and decent suspension. Only downside is that it whoops my ass lol . Too much bike for me should have gotten the 250 but I love it regardless.
haha yeah the 450 has a lot of grunt. Wears ya out way quicker than smaller bikes!
Get a cheap 250! You'll improve so fast and the 450 will feel easy after
I have a 22 RM-Z450 & haven't switched to the "Aggressive" Map, the Factory Map is more power than I need. I love the bike. Yeah I had to soften the suspension, but the cock-pit it tight and not a "wide-body" at all. Handles the trails great & I love the look.

Thanks Hudson! I had a 2014 RMZ250 for a couple years and loved it. I think before 2014 they had some transmission problems so try to get a 14 or newer bro !

Man i loved it more than i expected.
Currently ride it with "Reiger Suspension" shock and springs.
And put an Akrapovic Evo exhaust on it.
I am keeping the yellow kickstart for the next years 👌🏼

Lol yeah pretty much if you ever near Kansas try mine out I got an 05 rmz 250 bores out got new kibblewhite Dimond valves an new bottom end an bearing an seals also decided to run hot cams as well my rmz definitely a lot snapper than that one you where just on

That was me on the Kayo. It’s a terrible underpowered Chinese trail bike. Wasn’t bad to learn how to ride on, but since have upgraded to a KX250. Much happier

Kayo is Chinese manufacturer, there are a lot of modifications of these bikes are selling in Russia. Bikes looks like enduro ktm, have a ~25 hp air cooling, or ~30hp water cooling 250 4strokes engines.

I have 2021 RMZ 450 and I love it❤....the light on the handlebars shines as long as the engine has moto hours 1 moto hour is about 0.1 seconds and also lights up depending on whether the launch contorol 1 or 2 is set

hey that bike was a kayo they are really good for the price especially a good used one me and my dad bought two for the price on one brand bike. they are trail bikes but they do good on track

28 year old here going back to enjoy the sport. I got this exact bike, it has 55 horse. The Honda has 61. I could not give a fuck I'm at most at 3/4 throttle, the thing is a beast and handles better than my old Honda. (Don't tell anyone)
I ride a 23 250fx and I love a Suzuki handles so good debating getting a 250 for the track

It doesn't really matter what year it is because that's exactly why people hate on it. Hasn't changed in ages. How m any hours were on the bike?
Sometimes brands update bikes and actually make them worse though! Most brands update bikes every 4 years. Suzuki has been 6 years on same platform. Not THAT much longer than every other brand. If Suzuki showed that they are trying and released an updated model, I'd definitely buy one. No idea on hours of the big girl

@@crochead7756 But none of the other bikes have kickstart, so not sure what your point is? This just proves that the other brands are superior with electric start. Also, compare the bike weights across the models. Suzuki isn't the lightest.

I don't know why Suzuki doesn't just put electric start on these? They'd instantly become a better bike. Seeing K-Roc tip over and have to kick his bike over and over is simply embarrassing. Fix it Suzuki.

Weight. Battery + stater motor + starter clutch is gonna cost a race bike at the scale even more than already. RMZ is not a trail bike.

Kayos are cheap chinese bikes. They make everything from 50cc four strokes to 250 moto bikes to 250 2 strokes. Best quality chinese bikes, I actually really liked the liquid cooled 250f trail bike I rode from them. The main advantage is you can get into a 250f race bike from them for 6k.
Sounds like a good budget friendly option. I'll have to see if I can test ride one.
