I am a synaesthete meaning I can see letters and numbers in colour in my head. Every word therefore has a specific colour, so do the months and days of the week.
So this video was so fun to watch bc I see the months names all differently.
January - greyish blue
February - icy teal blue
March - tangerine
April - Forest green
May - strawberry red
June - raspberry pink
July - apricot
August - word wise forest green like April but the number 8 (as in the 8th month) makes it plum purple
September - Gold ocher
October - walnut brown
November - foggy beige
Dezember - Ballet pink

Kasey, just wanted to tell you that you're not alone with your love of ants because when I was way younger we lived in a rented house and in the garden I found a bunch of ants so with slabs of rock I formed houses and even a throne since I deemed myself the 'ant queen' 😂.

All of Kasey’s characters “everyday I’d leg day” (btw I love that you embrace your own style)
Here's what I would've done!
January: A wintery kinda girl, she has a blue and white color scheme and has a lot of sweaters and jackets...
February: A cupid girl! Kind of like a wingman but she doesn't really have a significant other for herself since she's wrapped up in trying to get her friends together.
March: Maybe a character that has red hair and is short so his nickname is leprechaun.... he probably doesn't wear green to prove that he isn't
April: I would mix april fools and easter.... So maybe a very funny character with a pastel color scheme and wears bunny ears for some reason..
May: This one was hard for me to think of.. but I realized memorial day is in May! So... maybe a sad type of character that wears black... Maybe he had a family member pass away and can't really get over it.
June: I would do a pride character for pride month! He's very prideful and constantly wears a rainbow sweater.. I'd like to think that June and July are best friends so July is the surrogate for June's daughter to tie in fathers day. (A surrogate is a woman that carries the baby for a couple unable to have a baby.)
I'll do the rest of the months on the second part!

Don't get me wrong but isn't it better to not have a month "celebrating" sexuality? I think just live and let anybody else love who or whatever they want as long as it doesn't harm another person should be fine and normal. Constantly reminders of differences seem contraproductive to me.

Also people been killed or beaten just because they are gay or trans or nonbinary etc. Pride is also about freedom and equality. It is not just a celebration

I love how when she shades and there is stripes or a pattern and there is shading in that area she makes the pattern part a darker shade of that color now that is a small detail I can appreciate.

I feel like she didn't just wanna make a characters main personality trait that they're gay. Like, represent people without making it a huge deal. Basing the character around it would seem tacky imo and it's much nicer to just like... Represent without like basing their whole personality on it!

And April has no Easter now, or Tax day, or Spring Equinox, or Earth Day or 420. Guess she can't use Christmas in December either or any other religious type holiday.
Since she did mothers day fathers day was obvious. But June is also commonly Weddings, Graduations, First day of Summer. I'm curious about August since there aren't really any holidays.
This year is just weird. For my planner I've got ... well not much for January, just my dad's birthday. Feb I have Chinese New Years, Leap Year and a bunch of Covid 19 stuff, a lady in mask and goggles. (there is also Groundhog day, super bowl, Mardigras and Valentines if you're in a relationship like that.)
March is PANDEMIC declared, Spring Forward, Prisoners set Free, Corned beef and cabbage, Stock market crashes and Unemployment skyrockets, Celtic and Faeries, Leprechauns, shamrocks that kind of Saint Patricky stuff. I even drew a roll of Toilet Paper and the word "Precious".
Haven't colored in April yet, I'm losing interest. But I'm thinking Easter, eggs in a nest maybe, a bunny, Umbrella for April showers, Daisy flower of the month, But also Shelter in Place continues, National Guard messing with food supply, Tax Deadline was extended
May is Cinco de Mayo, Lily of the Valley, Emerald, I saw a hummingbird in my tiny container garden, and who can forget the Murder Hornet?! That will be fun to draw, Mother's day even though my mom is gone and my kids didn't contact me. I really wanted mexican food so I'll probably draw a taco or something. My car battery died so I need to get that started somehow so I can venture out and see if anyone still sells eggs and milk and produce.

You know what Kasey, I really love the way you telling the backstory of each of your character, it brings them to life even though they are still image. And the most important thing is that you seems really enjoy it, narrating the story of their lives, and that's for me really matter because art should be enjoyable, really love your great work, can't wait for the other part to come!! 😆😆
