- Finally decided to do the last major update to my KLX. The Bill Blue 351 big bore kit.
Installation was a breeze.
The Bike is now impressive. It pulls hard through every gear.
Upgrades are now 100cc Big Bore kit 351 and the Mikuni Pumper carb

Update! The Spring Mod Worked! I put Synthetic back in! D605 tires sucked and immediately put D606 back on. Heat issue resolved after break in. Bike has 15000 miles now and is super reliable!
D605 is too adventure, road tires. 15k on 351 kit?

15,000 is not that much on these bikes. I know a guy that has 40,000 on his and has only had to adjust the valves once! I put the 331 from Bill in mine and am really enjoying it. Such a GREAT improvement!

Are you running bills pumper carb? Any tuning on jets ?
i want to do the same upgrade to my super sherpa kl 250 .351 kit tm carb and exaust ...This is a lot of money and im thinking of it srsly ..Its my every day bike and i want to know how reliable is the bike after the kit
Super reliable! The carb though I’m not sure is that necessary.
what sprocket size are you running?
does the klx250 to 351 kit need anything else besides the online kit and the bigger jets?

does the barrel have a steel liner and nikasil?
It’s just a standard sleeve. I’m going to do a 1000 mile review soon, but it’s been great.

Yes. I'm at 17K miles and its like brand new. I've done some other mods recently and the bike is really fun to ride.

What carb did you use for the 351
I now use all bill blue mods. Pumper carb and the full barker exhaust. Huge difference.
Do they make a big kit for a new KLX300?
For the amount of money you would spend, just go get a 450.

I tried one day and almost broke my ankle which made me miss months of BJJ class.
Got a Tuareg 660. Plenty of speed, better for commuting, don't have to re-fill tank every other day.
Molly is what kills a wet clutch. Mobil 1 has molly.
Shell. Rotela white bottle has no molly and is rated for motorcycle.
What is molly?
