The reaction of the judges is 100% fake. The backing tracks are vetted ahead of time by the producers. There’s no way for anyone to lip sync and they knew this.
That is you falling for it. How can she cheat in a show that she has no control over? I think she was chosen to be the winner in the first place, the judges played along until the end of the season when she became the overall winner. This clip made her more memorable to the crowd which would go out and buy the music she sang later. Slight of hand.

I had all the signs of imminent heart attack. She calms me down and I have had a steady heartbeat and lower blood pressure since I got her. Well they didn’t, obviously they know better than us that the producers etc are responsible for the playback, it’s all part of the drama. Happens in all countries, the coaches will always pull a stunt like this..
It's all an act. The producer tells the judges to pretend to suspect lip syncing, in order to let the singer show off her a carpella skill. This is why she doesn't look surprise at all. Her acting skill is not as good as the judges.
Like everyone else said. It is a stunt. They were probably told to say these things and act that way. It's a show for entertainment.

It's not just the voice...which is incredible...but the ease in which she delivers with seemingly zero effort that makes you question your eyes and ears. I know what the judges were saying...her voice sounded like a fully mastered recording with no perceptible blemishes. Kudos to both her and the sound engineers for the show.

@@earltriplett7085 I would think that that listening to a backing track rather than working with live musicians would be actually quite difficult. I'm a singer and though I sing to backing tracks in the studio I've never done it in a live situation, especially at this level of scrutiny! I'd much rather do the song a capella so I could focus purely on the song and its meaning and pour it out to the audience than have to make sure I'm keeping up with a pre-recorded thing. But that's just me. I know a lot of folks do this very, very well but it's not for me.

Perfect pitch has nothing to do with the tone of the voice though. It means that you can pick out the pitch (like singing a middle C without somoene giving you the pitch). You can't tell if she has perfect pitch or not from her singing well.
"Perfect pitch in her "voice"" that equivalent to being able to play ANYTHING on a violin, our voice is an instrument and not only does she have a perfect pitch, but can also apply it to her voice and thats just insane

Some vocalists have what's called harmonics in their voice naturally. Polyphonic. My daughter has it.
Aida has fantastic pitch and the two tones(or maybe it's an overtone in her case), because they are so tight, it can confuse the human ear into thinking that she hits every note perfectly.
It's more likely she has perfect pitch.

Nothing to do with perfect pitch. Perfect pitch means being able to sing a note exactly - like if they asked her to sing a G above middle C and she just hit it. You can have perfect pitch and a terrible voice...

Professional singers do lip sync sometimes......just think if they just straight sang to audiences all the time....they would strain themselves. They can't sing live all the time, I went to a Beyonce concert and even Bey lip sung, they were playing her songs and she lip sung with the music. Have you ever noticed after all the dancing, when the artist speaks, there is no heavy breathing or sound out of breath, it's because they do lip sing. It doesn't mean they can't sing, they sing for a living, they would not be stars if they could not sing.
When an artist can sing a song, acapella, and you still enjoy it...well, thats a great singer. Goosebumps! Bravo

"Them" judges???? THOSE judges, and Ukraine doesn't have a golden buzzer, not in 2011 when this was filmed. Aida has gone on to have a good career in singing, and is still active, judges or no.

I agree...and what the show should also do is sack ALL the Judges and get new ones on, because if that had been me standing on that stage, I would have felt insulted and given them all a mouth full, told them that they did not deserve me and would have walked of the stage.

Even knowing by the video title that she was not lip syncing, I doubted at first. The voice of this stunning woman is incredibly emotional, accurate, and she seems to effortlessly sing all the difficult variations of this beautiful song. I hope she will be able to turn from cashier to professional singer.

Wow. If you rewind from where she sang acapella to the part when she sang with the backing track, she's in the exact same key and pitch. So melodic and soothing voice! 👍
When your voice is so good that the judges believe you are cheating, you’ve probably already won the competition. She in fact did win. But what most people don’t know when watching this video is that this is the Ukraine.
@@jayinmaine yes, good example, actually. the nasty judged are typical Ukrainian behavior. And the pleasant girl who went on singing even after them nasty fs accused /insulted her - is a typical Slavic behavior of a Russian person from Siberia, for example.
Back in Ussr, in Moscow for example, nobody would hire a housekeeper from Ukraine, cuz they were plain nasty, smartasses talking back to you. And now all that pleasant kind, lol, roams Europe demanding (!) that Germans and Brits give them food, their homes, hb’s and firstborn sons, so to speak. Nice. Good luck, lol!!
@@jayinmaine Actually, she did not win that year. She was voted fan favorite that year and allowed to appear the following year. She won the following year. She is from Odessa.

It's possible that the show's producers may have allowed her to listen to the background music in her earphones while she sang it.
