I think that actually, Blitz was trying to defend Moxxie and Millie's relationship? Asmodeus implied that with how vanilla Moxxie was he had to be leaving Millie unsatisfied. That's when Blitzo, despite specifically hiding from Fizzarolli earlier, decided to stand up and attract attention to himself by saying that actually even if Millie and Moxxie just do it missionary style they are enjoying themselves enough to make peeping on them interesting.
Also, while Asmodeus makes a big deal out of being all about Lust and Love not being as interesting I think the way he acts with Fizzarolli hints that he's full of shit and that their relationship is more than simply physical lust.

I don't think that was the intent of Ozzie's song. It wasn't about leaving Millie unsatisfied, it was about the audience unsatisfied. This is a lust club, not a love club, and Moxxie was "killing the vibe" of the place. You can show love for someone, just not performing in HIS lust club.

@@kittkatt64pt21 right after he says Moxxie is killing the vibe Asmodeus says to the audience: "Get a load of this dweeb and his unsatisfied ride"

@@kittkatt64pt21 Yeah, I could see an alternate song where he's chastizing Moxxie for not being proud of his lust, but in this song it doesn't really work? It wouldn't be "unsatisfied" Pride, it'd be... "underdeveloped", "stunted", something like that. Because it wouldn't be that his pride isn't satisfied, but that he doesn't have enough pride?
Don't know if I'm doing a good job explaining.

I actually find Stolas in this show interesting when it comes to balancing a sympathetic character with morally ambiguous acts.
As demon royalty he had to marry his wife for status and money purposes, but he soon found that he didn't love her and met with Blitz, who he in fact seems to love.
I don't think his sexuality is made clear but i very much thinks he's gay which is why he doesn't feel happy with his wife and would prefer a paranoid imp over her.
Anyway, she is indeed who he married to and had a kid with because he had obligations due to his royal status.
And the episode with him and his daughter made clear that he cares for her sincerely and deeply, and wishes to be close to her as much as a father can be even though he had her with someone he doesn't love anymore and maybe never even loved.
In the end, he's a man who only wants love and a family, but is bad at both of those things and messes up most of his relationships in the most human way.
And i think that's cool, that this show focuses on human vices while showing how the people who are consumed by those vices are as much victims as they are guilty.
They're people, and as such they make mistakes people would do all while trying to live the life (or non life i guess for human sinners who became demons after death) they wish for.
Blitz has a daughter he cares for, so does Stolas, Millie and Moxxie leads a pure romantic relationship, Octavia just wants her family to be whole again, and Loona as much as she's cold and agressive is not stranger to love.
I like how they did demons to be ambiguous and very morally grey people.

I mean the whole reason I’m so invested in the show is BECAUSE of how uniquely they portray these characters, it’s very interesting; I can understand people misinterpreting my lack of sympathy for Stolas but I’m not doing so out of writing him off with a scarlet letter, I’m just wanting to see resolution with his mistakes instead of forgiving simply because he feels bad.

    • @frostlone925
      @frostlone925 Před 2 lety

Well yeah, i love ambiguous morals so much i tend to forget the part where terrible people have to redeem themselves before they're forgiven when it comes to fiction x)
Or maybe that's me having too much empathy.
Anyways, i'm sure we'll both watch in fascination and wait for the day each main character actually reaches a better life (or non life), regardless of how we see them.

Have to fix a little error in what's been said, but Stolas, Blitzo and other demons aren't humans, they werr born in Hell.
The only sinners, like Alastor, Angel Dust, Vaggie and others, are kept in the Pentagram City, in the ring of Pride and never leaving it, unlike Hellborn that have free mobility over hellscape.
Also, BECAUSE they're all hellborn, doesn't instantly imply that demons are bad. They have low, or non-existent, morality rules, regarding what humanity might define as "morals" at specific time of the age.
They're free to sin, as they can't fall lower than Hell, but among the sinful demons, there are gems like Moxxie, Millie and Charlie, that shines their purity between the demon kin.
And honestly, the fact that show portrays moral dilemas through characters that barely had any morals to begin with, is even more interesting, than when its shown through regular human beings.

It's two different things in spring broken she states that he's not her real dad when she says when he said he adopted her. There's also almost a slip of tongue when she says "ugh dah ... blitz" when he was telling her she looks perfect sweetie
He also tells Milly's parents in harvest Moon that Luna is his daughter when Luna says she's not just their hellhound after Millie introduces her as blitz's hellhound.

    Sorry for the long text!
I mean,I get that you don't like Stolas, which is completely fine, but you don't seem to have any problem with Blitzo, who's arguably equally as fucked up. I mean,he treated Verosika, his ex,like shit and probably did the same thing with Fizzarolli, judging by the pictures in his phone, and is still a very bad person. Don't get me wrong,I still love Blitzo, but he's...a disaster.
Also, about Stolas' (probably arranged)marriage;it is hinted that Stella, his wife, doesn't care if he cheats on her with High Rank Demons, but when it's Blitzo,an Imp,she does care, because Imps are a "lowly race" in Hell's hierarchy. Obviously, this doesn't mean Stolas is justified, hell no,he's not. I just wanted to know what makes Blitzo sympathetic and not Stolas. I'm not trying to change your mind,I'm just curious.

I mean they’re demons; according to most belief systems they’re all incapable of moral compasses and decisions anyway, so I don’t expect anyone in the cast to ever be deserving of me rooting for them. But, the show surprises me; they have moral dilemmas, they understand they can’t live for themselves, and in a hellscape where no one would blame them for living as selfishly and evilly as possible, some characters actually pursue monogamous relationships (or at least contemplate doing so). So yeah, I don’t like Stolas, I don’t really like anyone, but I’m curious to see where they end up. Make sense?

@@RoarTheRapper I get it,I just think it makes the series a lot less enjoyable if you're not able to sympathize with anyone.
Take Hazbin Hotel for example;that would make it's premise complete obsolete. They're demons as well, even Charlie. And,of course, there are people that have gone to hell for worse things than others;you could go to hell for being a scammer or for killing several people, this two individuals would have two different moral compasses. The scammer might even be horrified by the other guy's actions.
