Fizz and Ozzy's relationship is not problematic because of the hierarchy. Ozzy is the embodiment of Lust, so being in a romantic relationship is off-brand for him. (Also very hypocritical, when he told Moxxie, that his club is not about romance, while he is cuddling on stage with Fizz.)
Favorite scene: Brandon Rogers' voice, when he said "I did care! It was an accident! It was!"
The Relationship it IS problematic because of the Hierarchy, Hell has a very stratified social structure. Ozzie being in love is also a problem he represents lust as a Sin, so empty loveless sex. But as we see Ozzie believes in consent and is himself in love with Fizz. But if course in the version of hell in Hellva Boss lots of Demons are not actually evil. This show uses the idea that high ranking Demons and Angels are the same species, Lucifer lead a rebellion in heaven and he and his followers where cast down into hell as punishment. So a lot them held onto negative emotions like Satan and Mammon but some actually moved on and made the best of things like Asmodeus and Bee-lzebub.
The white parts on imps are scars so Fizzes whole face was burned except his nose due to the clown nose
Actually their both middle age and the reason Fizz isn’t shot is they need him alive for them to get what they want from Asmodeus
I find interesting how the King of lust is about consent and why he doesn’t like love potions because that’s not consent that’s force
It's interesting that for being a show with a lot of jokes about immoral things, Asmodeus (Ozzie) actually is depicted as being a pretty okay person in terms of relationship goals, he really cares about pleasure and desire being mutual and consensual.
Of course, he's also a hypocrite on several levels, but the way he cares about Fizz, though it doesn't align with what he claims are his ideals (As in having lasting feelings for someone when he pretends what matters is the carnal pleasure.), is ultimately very humane.
Up until now, we have seen Asmodeus (Lust), and Beelzebub (Gluttony), we had a glimpse of Lucifer (Pride) with Charlie's family pictures in Hazbin Hotel, and mentions of Belphegor, Satan, and Mammon.
Gotta be curious what they're like, and how *they* will apply their sin's philosophy.
Great Reaction as always. I loved this episode a lot but man that ending is going to cause some major conflict in a future episode. Specifically regrading Blitz and Stolas’s relationship. Now Stolas will now be able to give Blitz another way to access the human realm. (Minor Spoiler Warning) From a tweet earlier this year made by Viv we know that S2E8 is called “The Full Moon.” The only thing I see happening in this episode is Stolas ending the full moon deal he made with Blitz at the beginning of the series, so s2e8 will certainly be quite the episode to watch.
Crimson and his thugs are based on the Italian mob. That is why they got so emotional with the Italian song even if they didn't understand a single word. Pure genius on the creators part.
Blitzo and Fizzarolli are foils to one another. Both come from the same place. And yet Fizz is a success because he genuinely is a natural born performer, whereas Blitzo pretends to be confident and puts on an IDGAF attitude to hide his self loathing due to his failures.
And to make matters worse, Fizz has success that stems from his own talent, whereas Blitzo can't even do his job without the aid of Stolas' book, not to mention how Fizz and Asmodeus are in a very functional relationship while Blitzo has a history of ruining his own.
9:37 I think you misunderstood slightly 😊 What Ozzie was saying was he doesn’t assist people with love potions or things like that because it takes away the other party’s consent, which is integral to lust and romance alike. I love that the embodiment of lust is basically saying ‘consent is key’.
Yeah I thought that was pretty cool for the rules of these demons, that even they value consent over, well, them actually being evil and not caring about that.
