    To the people saying "Raging Bull" is unrealistic.....seriously? That's the whole friggin point. This isn't a documentary about the sport. Hell it's not even really about boxing. It's about a fundamentally broken human being whose choice of occupation fits his conception of logic. Inflicting pain on himself and others is Jake's compulsion. Raging Bull shows what it might feel like to be in this guy's headspace during a fight. Realism would only blunt the desired visceral impact

    That was not a clean knock down in the Cerdan fight. LaMotta wrestled him to the canvas with the intent of injuring him, which he did he busted Cerdan’s shoulder. Cerdan was the superior fighter by far would’ve beat him to regain his title had he not died in a plane crash.
