Today is my birthday 🎊🎂. Turning 50. Its midnight in SA. Tough year. Almost lost my job. Tenants not paying their rent. Spiritual battles. Relationship gone wrong. Friends left with no reason. My son in 2 rehabs in 1 year . Financial challenges. Anxiety attacks, car damaged😂😂😂 Sounds funny actually. Especially because the list goes on. But i made it! Im here. I'm still standing. My mom taught me the mantra at a young age “don’t have any expectations then you won’t get hurt.” It took my heart quite some time and many hours of meditation to trust in the creator and flow of life to expect good things for myself *and* that I am worthy of good things ❤️ Really lovely show
My mum would say a similar thing except "your expectations are too high", well I ended up nearly homeless because of listening to that. My housemate always says "comparison is the thief of joy" yet he's always poor, in pain, and suffering constantly. No thanks!!! ❤

Thanks Brian, this was great! There was a time quite a few years ago when I manifested a lot of fun things just by having a feeling of something exciting, was getting ready to happen a feeling of expectation, I would listen to exciting music and just feel like something wonderful was going to happen, so many good things did happen. I started hearing from so many places that you shouldn’t focus on expectation that that’s keeping it in the future so I stopped doing that so much but it got much harder for me to manifest. I really think I need to go back to that feeling of Positive expectation.
Do what actually works!
Focussing on the feeling is what has worked great for me, too. Being too specific on details throws me off and also I like to leave room for the great intelligence to work out the truly best. Way to go🎉🎉🎉
I am very much looking forward to this episode! I find myself hoping at times instead of expecting, and I have noticed that hoping lacks confidence, and creates a more of a "I still am not in control in the way I desire, so we will hold on and see what develops" and then all the things develop, anchoring that chaos in instead of developing confidence and trust. Being human is a wild ride. ❤

I’m SO curious how you will view the correlation between the whole not having attachment to outcome concept in reality creation. It’s something I enjoy the contemplating! I’m sure it’s a fine 👌 line to dance but critical/critical for success.
Oh lastly I’ve been wondering if the not attachment to outcome comes into play with healing your physical body? Like if that is so, wouldn’t one have to be like “my body is healed. But either way is ok.”? 🤔 fun stuff to explore!!!

I absolutely love this. Thank you for posting such a great video. There’s loads of neuroscience behind the expectation effect. There’s actually a great book that breaks this down and how the neuroscience explains how, what we expect of others, ourselves, and our body actually impacts the wane which we experience.
There’s even research now that says, 50 to 80% of aging is mental.

Brilliant teaching. My expectation is that you, Brian Scott, will take all these teachings, and publish these as short books that we, your avid listeners, can purchase on Amazon. I try to listen to these as you post them. I walk in my house getting my daily exercise to these. Then I listen again and I take copious amounts of notes. I missed this one somehow. I pay to have ad-free CZcams because I find your material to be so valuable. I put them on continuous loop while sleeping because I have had a difficult year dealing with breast cancer. This was on point , I am 54 and feel like my journey is just beginning. I have been profoundly affected by this community and this channel. Because the truth can not be ignored. Positive and good intentions seem to be the key. And isn't that really who I want to be anyway? It seems like a natural thing to strive for. Things are falling into place before my eyes and I could hardly grasp it. But the truth is I expected it.......and I'm gonna try so hard to hold my intention with love and see it thru to a life I love and let all this drama that my girls and I have endured roll of us and heal out of pure contentment. It will be a long walk, hopefully I can remember to enjoy the view. ✌️♥️
When my carefully tailored playlists of your meditations, which i often fell asleep to and played throughout the night or would have in the background while I work at night, when they suddenly disappeared from Spotify I honestly did not realize how important a part of my routine that was for keeping a positive attitude. It didn't click until just now, we finally subscribed to CZcams's ad free version can be played when the screen is off. And the first thing I did was find your channel again and start listening here at work as I go about my tasks. I really do tend to see the worst possible outcomes. And maybe that was a good survival tool when I was a child, but it sure isn't helping me now. I'm not going to let that happen again, and I'm glad to have your wise reminders back in my head!
