I love that you called Becca and Chloe on practically kissing. The actresses actually wanted them to get together in later movies and even argued heavily for it but the idea was vetoed. Too bad. Might have been interesting to see how they played the part. 😂👍

But the more Chloe and Beca interacted, the more Beca’s and Jesse‘s relationship paled to their chemistry. It’s not even about queer shipping, it just seems like such an obvious choice to pair them up 🙈😂

@@nikkirun9157 I'm glad they didn't. If Beca and Chloe would've been paired, in today's environment, the lesbian pairing would've overshadowed everything else these movies brought to the table. I'm not homophobic, but I hate when sexuality, or race, or any of these irrelevant traits are the only thing focused on. When I watch a movie, I'm watching to see a story develop. I don't care what race or sexual orientation any of the characters are, unless it contributes to the story being told.
This movie is unhinged in the best way possible and I will quote it back and forth any chance I get so it's probably a good thing I'm not watching this with anyone 😂

I remember following the actors on Twitter while they were filming this and thinking it would be some small indie film. And then it was a big global hit. Insane. I love Anna Kendrick and Brittany Snow so much. Also, Utkarsh Ambudkar (the Indian beatboxer) is a legit rapper. He’s real good and so are his friends.

The reason why the Bellas lost in the Riff Off is because they didn’t match the word correctly to change the song.
The Trebles’ lyrics went “it feels like the very first time”, but The girls said “it’s going down”.
I think that's totally unfair for the Bellas tbh. I've done a similar game in my improv club in high school, and while it's been a while, I believe such a small technicality would've been accepted

It's is a contraction of it is so she DID match the word. The judges are just assholes
As a singer myself, vocal nodes really are like worst case scenario. They are basically calluses that grow on your vocal chords and you have to have them surgically removed, which usually means you will never sound the same singing again. She’s right when she says it’s basically a musical death sentence for a singer, though sometimes with proper (read: expensive) recovery efforts you can still have a singing voice afterwards.
So in most musical movies they pre-record the singing parts but anna kendrick (becka) refused to do that so every time she would sing it would be live vocals. Absolutely love her. Love all your reactions.

One thing I understood about the Bella's 'boring routine' is that they were going for a technical performance. When I was in marching bands we saw sone performances got the crowd hyped but it was really the judges who made the final decision and crowd work wasn't that big of a factor when scoring. So it's like if you are TECHNICALLY perfect you stood as fat a chance than a crowd favorite
25:28 it's not that the didn't know "no diggity" it's that becca started singing it right from the beginning and they clearly didn't really listen to the song past the chorus which most people know, which is why they were so confused 😂

I love Pitch Perfect but the one thing I never understood was that The Bella’s whole thing was that they only sang songs that were popularized by women…and Beca changes that which is fine, but why did they make it seem like that was boring? This was like…2012 or something they had Beyoncé, Ariana Grande, Rihanna, heck even other artists like Cher, Christina Aguilera, Madonna, The Spice Girls, NICKI MINAJ. They had so many fun options for music even if they didn’t switch up at the end 😭
The issue was that they were only singing songs by women in the past. Becca is the one that starts using modern songs

Trolls and Into the Woods is how I know Anna Kendrick. Both movies I love, but they often get a lot of hate
Billy, I don't know who's out there telling you you can't sing, but I'm a singer and they're wrong. You have a great natural voice - the only difference between you and the quality of singing you saw in this movie is practice, so if you want it - go get it!

Whaaat breakfast club is iconic lol, it’s five unlikely friends coming together in detention and leaning on each other about their parental family traumas. Obviously relatable for teens but yea I loved that movie as a teen and it’s still good lol I mean the 80’s music and dance sequence? Iconic. The cast is great, great acting, and usually I get bored by movies in one setting but I was entertained throughout and actually cried lmao best couple is obviously basketcase and athlete but yea that movie inspired every other detention storyline in shows, movies and murder mystery books today

Agreed! A huge part of being good at singing is also literally training, it's not all about innate talent.
As a voice coach, I agree with these comments! Every time you said some thing about how you couldn’t sing, I was saying “nope!” You could definitely sing! So much of Singing is training. Everybody starts with a certain amount of talent- It’s what you do with it that matters.
Love this trilogy, these are movies I can watch over and over again and never get tired of them. Are they the best movies in the world? Maybe not lol but they’re comfort movies for sure

I got goosebumps the first time I saw the performances in these movies, as a group singer myself it is good to see hard wok pay-off like that. The other two movies are good, as are the songs - though the third act in movie 3 is a little out there. Best just to focus on the music.
They were cut off at the rip-off because they didn't start on the right word. Not for the key being off...lol!😂

if you only do one more pitch perfect movie, i definitely recommend the third over the second. the level of camp is truly off the charts and it's not as outright cringy as the second. they're both a good time though, so i'd be excited to see you react to both!
The scene where they got eliminated was actually deleted. I've got the dvds for it and it's part of the deleted scenes package. And the thing is it wasn't even a long scene, it was about a minute long, they really could've kept it in the movie.

You wouldn’t believe it but I watched this film 15+ times and as much as I liked the film, I just couldn’t stand the first act of the movie due to Aubrey being a B to the Bella’s and Bumper from the Treble makers being a malicious jerkwad and rejected Benji (who is a huge fan and good singer) from joining. So because of this I just watch the 2nd and 3rd acts of the film.
I personally am excited for the sequel and is as good if not better than the first Pitch Perfect.
I'm willing to bet that Bumper rejected Benji because he didn't want to be outshone (Yes, I might just be slightly biased because Benji is played by Ben Platt)
