Alloy contracted an independent expert dermatologist investigator to conduct a double-blind, three-armed, placebo-controlled study of the efficacy and safety of M4 Estriol Face Cream and estradiol with the M4 cream base. Here’s what we found:
In just 12 weeks, statistically significant improvements (as compared to a placebo) with M4 include:
• 88% improvement in skin elasticity
• 70% improvement in hydration
• 57% improvement in skin appearance and texture
• 48% improvement in radiance
• 68% improvement in overall skin health
And, the study found:
• NO statistically significant change in estriol levels in the blood from baseline to week 12
• NO evidence of inflammation or damage to the skin barrier
• NO tolerability issues. M4 does not cause dryness, peeling, stinging, or itching
More about the study: Alloy Women’s Health commissioned Dermatology Consulting Services, PLLC, and Allendale Institutional Review Board (AIRB) to conduct a clinical study assessing the facial anti-aging efficacy of topical estriol and estradiol. The study took place over 12 weeks and was randomized, double-blind, and vehicle-controlled.

As a 60 yo licensed esthetician, my comment is for Caroline Yu, when layering your skincare with M4 you want to treat this product as a “cream serum”. Meaning you will cleanse, tone, apply water-based serums, THEN apply M4 like a cream serum since it’s thicker, then your moisturizer and SPF. The folks at Alloy could use some skin specialists like estheticians (as we’ll talk about it with our clients as I specialized in Anti-Aging) and dermatologists to explain usage. I’m so very excited to share this with my clients!
I have been getting little red dots on my forearms. Maybe called Purpura?? Some say iIt comes with age, and some say it’s caused by sun damage. Would the estrogen cream do anything for that?

I would love to use my M4 prescription twice a day, but because Im only sent enough for 30 days

Is there any contraindications with using M4 or even the vaginal Estrogen product (European) on sun damaged skin? Skin with actinic keratosis and potential for SCC
It caused me to get really bad migraines! My dr said it was messing with my hormones so this woman is not being truthful! If it didn’t get into your blood system it wouldn’t affect your skin …just think about it - it’s pretty simple! That’s why you can’t use any kind of retinol when you are pregnant because anything you put on your skin gets into your blood system!!!
