@k_isforkaito.9918 because my brother, my nephew and my best friend all committed suicide and I would run out of fingers if I tried to count the amount of good people I l know that took there own lives none of them were even close to being cowards, heros, fireman, boxers ,bricklayers plumbers,drug dealers even a murderer ( he done 14 years) , ive been to more funerals than years I been alive, I was born in 81, I know plenty of cowards and scumbags not one of them would have balls to take there own life, I couldn't do, im a bodybuilder and a trained fighter, I fear no one but take me own life nope I'm too much of a coward. Was this fool who killed that girl a coward he very well may be, but people who take there own lives they aren't cowards they just lost themselves or were hurting.

Listen to how to save a life or runaway train they are about suicide, people don't write songs about cowards they write about heros that are lost. I hated my loved ones for leaving like that at first, cowards how dare they but now I'm older I understand, hopefully you never have too.
I’m Australian, and I feel this particular case touched many many people in this country - such a needless waste of Lilies beautiful life, the suffering she must have endured and my love goes to her parents, family and friends still. I also feel for his parents, the heartache they must feel that their son did this and then took his own life. On a lighter note, have been following you for a while and loved this format!!! Thank you for all the hard work!
As an Australian, I agree that this case deeply affected many of us. Lily's tragic loss and the pain she endured are heartbreaking. My thoughts are with her parents, family, and friends during this difficult time. I also sympathize with the anguish his parents must be experiencing, knowing their son committed such a terrible act and then took his own life. Biggest problem with Australia is it lacks the history and culture of Europe and the Middle East and many parts of Asia. Beautiful to visit, wonderful lifestyle but not much here artistically to see after a few days.
I agree, much prefer the in studio café with the kitty. The sound is much better as well, this was loud with music that didn’t match the tone of the story, and often too loud and distracting.

The on location feels too much like WE ARE THERE and i prefer the cozy coffee house flannel cat STORYTELLING vibe of hearing your melodic voice and letting my imaginatin take me back to the place with the help of your usual images. I am distracted and wondering if flannel is too warm for Sidney. If flannel is a seattle vibe (coffee) and if you have applied sunscreen. Too real. Less “let me take you on a journey”. Also the warm lighting is more the vibe than this cool lighting.
Yeah I prefer the normal background it’s more cosy and homely and relaxing.
Sounds like he was really good at masking his creepiness and rage. Those are the scariest and most dangerous ones.

i'll never understand how people can be like that tbh. I'm from Australia, originally Victoria. there's a large amount of those guys. they usually all fall under the same type. I'm a bouncer at a night club now and you can tell the type straight away. the amount of people that carry things to spike drinks is frightening and usually unreported to the police as the venue typically disposes of it internally to avoid police presence which of course would cost money.

Not that good -the headmaster said he seemed normal, but plenty of people said he had issues.
Like they always say though, there are always tells, no matter how subtle they may be. We have a gut instinct for a reason. When you get an off feeling about someone, it's not for no reason. Everything is some kind of tell about a person. Whether good or bad.
He was a sadistic SOB, luring her father to the school, knowing the terrible shock that poor man would suffer on his arrival.

He let her father know as well. He didn't lure anyone. Just because he did that, it doesn't mean he still isnt a psycho or a coward. I'm not sure it's that deep as to "imply" it as he was clearly just an unstable and egotistical POS, but it's certainly a possibility. We'll never know.

I'm absolutely in love with the fact that each episode you go over a little bit about the area the events happen as well as any coffee facts. I learn so much from you without feeling like it's jarring to the story you're about to tell. Your story telling is top notch and I always feel completely engaged. I live 5 minutes away from St Andrews. I was driving past with my husband when it had happened and we noticed police tape surrounding the whole area and we were wondering what had happened. Never in a million years did I think what happened would happen so close to where I live. Thank you for covering this, what a devastating case.

While it is ALL about Lily, because how dare Paul do what he did. I do also feel for Paul’s parents. Yes, all my thoughts and condolences are with Lily’s family and loved ones. But I just cannot even fathom how it must feel to love someone as your only child, who killed a person in cold blood, and then to have no closure themselves because he takes his own life. That is some hard, hard stuff for a parent to deal with. Their only child, a horrible murderer, and dead. They are victims too, and as a mother I feel for them also.

@@janeebbon8960 I imagine not many people wanted to celebrate his life, plus, it is extremely expensive to have bodies flown overseas. If they planned on cremating him anyway, there’s no reason to fly it. I feel like they would have flown here when his body was found.

For the son being able to do such act, I don't think they were very good parents at all. Yet, I do not think the boy was narcissist but had a very low self esteem, more like the parents or at least on of them must have been a narcist

I used to live in Sans Souci, now in Brisbane and I LOVED your on-site storytelling, even down to the actual bin used for disposal, love your work.
As a Sydney resident myself, I can say Sydney really took this one to heart. A teacher of all people and clearly an amazing one to have earned her way to have a job in such a prestigious school was so talented in many ways. It's such a shame and I feel deeply for her friends and family at their extreme loss and forever grief they now face. Any harsh words towards this coward would be many key strokes wasted as he doesn't deserve anything. Her great will, amazing spirit with a blessed nature to teach and inspire will be talked about for future generations instead. God bless her friends and family.

5 weeks is not a relationship, women fall in love/out of love slower, while men fall in love/out of love faster. It takes women about 7 to 8 weeks to completely fall for a guy and initiate a relationship. The males job is to keep things casual, hang out, have fun and hook up. The female is the one to ask for exclusivity. This was more of a FWB thing, however poor girl met a very unconfident man, who got very perturbed.

Suicide is not the "easy way out". What a sick thing to say. Its literally the hardest thing for a human to do.
POS bludgeoned someone to death and instead of facing her family and friends in court he decided to kill himself. So yeah easy way out
I’m inclined to agree that this is something we should avoid saying, even about murderers who subsequently take their lives. While I understand that suicide by a murderer is very often seen as an act to avoid facing the consequences of their actions (which I believe is likely an accurate understanding of the motive in most cases) I think any time suicide is qualified by words like “cowardly” or “easy” it may rub some of us the wrong way… I think that’s because most of us (including Adrian) would never describe suicide that way under virtually any other circumstance…is it fair to characterize such a significant action so differently merely due to the prior acts of the person who commits it? I don’t know. It’s a good question. But I don’t think it’s black-and-white.
I agree. I also hate it being referred to like that. Perhaps from people who have never been in that position. It's a brave thing to do, for people who are sadly, in a lot of pain

I always find people with huge egos or worse narcissistic, to be tolerable for a short time but I couldn’t tolerate it in a relationship. I’ve also noticed that narcissists tend to be unaware of their attitude, don’t realize others are aware so they’re easy to identify…and in my personal experience….Avoid! 7:20

As a Sydney sider thanks for covering this case is just so sad. Years ago St Andrews college was a subject of massive racism investigation were students has a WhatsApp group writing lots of racist comments and remarks and some parents pull their kids out my daughter friend was one of the kids pulled out, a student committed suicide and now this poor sport coach got killed in the women change room. I feel so sorry for her family. Best format ever, who wants to see Adrian on case location?

Good reputation, somewhat prestigious. Boys only school until sometime in the 1990s then went coed.
I commented before that very little information was released to the public. It is not a boarding school so, why was she there at 8pm @ night? This question was never asked by the media and yet it is such an obvious question. Also, who else was present?Hopefully there will be a coroners inquest and recommendations made for the school to lift their game when providing a safe working environment for staff.

Hi Adrian. I truly enjoy your videos. You not only describe the incident but always analyze the situation before concluding, and you give respect and condolences to the living victims of the case. Coffeehouse is my best crime video compared to the many that can be found nowadays. Keep up the amazing work.

It's heartbreaking those kind of stories. I hope this girl rest in peace and know of much people loved her.
I think the biggest takeaway here is how badly people are about judging their fellow humans. Most people fall for a good looking face, a façade, if someone is socially acknowledged, etc. Many times, these people are the biggest psychopaths. The world runs on appearance and fakeness.
There are plenty of psychopaths who aren't "attractive" also. One thing I'd like to see is more education in psychology all throughout the school years. Learning about ourselves, personality types, mental illnesses, etc. would greatly benefit society. There will always be those types of people, but it would be really valuable for the rest of us to understand the red flags and how to handle them.
Not true. Sometimes they are, sometimes they are not. There is no type, but especially being goodlooking or socially acknowledge has nothing to do with it. Appearance has zero to do with it. A bit crazy that you are even insinuating it does.
Good looking people tend to be better people, especially men. Ugly men are generally less trustworthy because they are jealous and insecure, from my experience and my friends.
dude wasnt looking good at all...he had a soft unmanly face...absolutely she tried it FOR him not to get with him...realizing that she quit the relationship as soon as posible and problanly broke it down on him exactly that way in that bathroom...She was way to good looking for him, she realized it and he always knew...thats why he took his life afterwards....was all too obvious..

Such a horribly tragic story. It's just so incomprehensible. This vibrant young woman with her whole life ahead of her was so savagely and wickedly taken from this world. It's so unjust, it's as though my mind cannot sort it out. In no universe does this make sense, like so many others, sadly.
Absolutely, it's an incredibly tragic and senseless loss. The cruelty and injustice of such acts can be overwhelming and difficult to comprehend. It's a stark reminder of the harsh realities that exist in our world.

Whenever the general public rase concerns abt a person or something one should also be careful regarding that thing. Almost every student disliked him because they knew he was a spoiled brat, harassing girls, controlling, bum, narcissist & have short fuse but she still dates him despite all those red flags and just only after 6 weeks she thought she'd heard enough of his nonsenses but unfortunately it was too late to leave him. Narcissists are unpredictable & dangerous-- they always wins no matter what ( that's according to them) He brutally smashed her face & took her life because she'd left him but instead of going to jail he took the cowardly way and ended his life.

I think if this boy has experienced rejection throughout his life, for whatever reason, he would easily have become possessive of such a vibrant and beautiful young lady. Not condoning what he did. He did take his own life after all, probably due to guilt or feeling like a failure.
