Unfortunately his head was not still in the helmet as it flew across the ice.
It was dirty ASF, it's one thing to cross check a player in the back, but you don't cross check someone that hard in the neck/head, it's very dangerous.

I was pretty sure the Rangers were going to trade Buchnevich at the deadline this season but, after this play, he suddenly became untouchable.
Whatever would have become of the NYR's season, it was great to see them standing up for one another this year, we haven't seen a lot of that over the last few years
