Have you heard about the most comprehensive book ever written on Cherry Shrimp? It includes information on how to keep, feed, and breed them, and it's written by my good friend Richard from Fishkeeping Answers. đ

What fantastic information! Never fail to impress! Loving the videos, keep them coming.
Thanks Gobind :)
Very helpfull! Thanks Mark and happy new year.
Cheers Teun ,Happy New Year :)
Thanks for the great info
You are very welcome Ann Kinney :)
Ok if you are not sure if your produce is Organic or not you can give the item a bath ,typically you can use 1-2 teaspoons of salt or vinegar or lemon juice in 1 Liter of water .Whatever you choose let it sit for between 30-60 minutes and rinse well after ..apparently this can remove up to 80% of contact pesticides.
What is worrying is that after I looked into this I found out that potatoes here are spray 4 times a season with pesticides and things like strawberries are sprayed up to 6 times a season.
Packaging should list what crops are sprayed with and how they are treated.
That is very cleaver mark! :) will have to try it on our shrimp tanks :)
Get them on youtube :)
OMG What a great shrimp babies :O Great Food, Im going to buy some frozen spinach :D
Thank you kind Sir :D
interesting video
Cheers:)
This guy need to get an award for being something i guess ahah
hahahaha
Great video as usual, Mark. I think I may try this, Iâm getting tired of throwing out spinach that goes bad. Because where I live, they sell an ungodly large amounts. So unless me and my wife have a large portion of spinach, a lot of it goes bad.
lol great tip Mark =)
Thanks ,Loving your live streams by the way :)
This is great! Does it seem to pollute the water in anyway? I'm worried of pieces not getting eaten & rotting. Any advice?
yeah it will for sure if you overfeed
Great video I've wanted to try fresh spinach but I'm worries about what they treat the spinach with I know I can boil it but I don't want to run the risk and baby CRS should hatch soon : )
Yeah I should have mentioned something about that in the video ,Just buy Organic if you are not sure :)
My tropheus love there spinach đ€đ€ your gonna have Popeye shrimp đđđ
Mark, so you chop up your spinach be4 you freeze it, that may be what I'm doing wrong, great video
I just freeze it as it is .
Nice video Mark, you seem to take care of the little shrimp good. And they seem to attack anything you put in there. My cherries are not like that it takes ages for them to investigate food i put in the tank and they usually loose interest fast. Dont know why.
Also, You should do a video on different shrimp diseases and cures.
Dont feed them then if they dont rush the food ..put it in and remove if they are not all over it within seconds,do the same thing over days and you soon will get so see just how little food they eat .
I can advise people on what I have read regarding diseases but that is it I am afraid ,luckily for me I have never had to deal with anything.
Hi ! Does the frozen spinach come in cubes like that all ground up, or do you blend it yourself then freeze in cubes?
It comes like that in the bag ,Make sure when your buying that you try and get organic ..I forgot to mention it in my video .
I wonder. Could I process nettle and freeze it for future use?
I did and then forgot about them :D
Hi Mark Have you got any tips or must haves for a cherry shrimp tank? I'm Scottish as well mate
Biggest tip if you are new is be patient and do only 1 water change every 2nd week at 15-30 %.What part of Scotland are you from ?
Marks Shrimp Tanks thanks mate, I do an 25-30% weekly anyway so that's good. I'm from Edinburgh mate, where are u from?
Fife originally but I live in Norway now :)..you a Hearts or Hibs fan ?
Marks Shrimp Tanks I'm not an hour drive from fife mate. I'm a gers fan, what's ur scots team?
How often would you feed your tanks like that Mark?
I feed them like this the odd time and I feed regular food 90% of the time ..also feeding blood worm once a week now fro conditioning female shrimp which I will do a video for :)
are you from Norway
I live In Norway :)
did you boil the spinach before freezing it?
This was fresh spinach that was fresh and just frozen :)
Marks Shrimp Tanks , thank you. all your videos are helpful. keep it up.
Hello Mark I have prepared a food mix consisting of spinach, carrots and peas without boiling the ingredients and then froze the mixture Can I melt the mixture for other materials and refreeze again I want to add broccoli and some vitamins
em no I dont think you can do this I know you cant do it with human food so I wouldnt do it
Thank you for the answering
I have another question
to prepare a mix of vegetables without boiling Is this correct or should I boil the ingredients Another question
we suffer here from the high range of PH water
Marks Shrimp Tanks I'm still waiting for the answer about the mix and the Ph level@
Sorry Nawras, CZcams does not notify me when people answer on a comment I just seen this comment by chance today its something they should fix..The boiling question just depends on what vegetables you use some are hard and some are not , like leaves I wouldnt boil but if you used a carrot I would blanch them to soften them up. Regarding the ph I dont understand what you are saying ..you are telling me you have high PH and thats all.
yes I have high range ph which is about 8.2 and I think its the reason killed my most shrimps
Haha, I am feeding my shrimp spinach as wel (from time to time), they also get nettle leaves and oak leaves and babyshrimppowder. I can't say if my shrimp like (blanched'to denaturate the poision' and dried 'into small/pressed blocks') nettle leaves more then spinash. ty for the vid, it's telling me I am not doing it wrong ghihi. If you would like to see how my nettle blocks look like you can check it on my instagram (Sybrand Scheveers)
Thanks Sybrand .
Hey, guess you are a fellow norwegian based on the rema 1000 package xD
Scottish guy loving in Norway :)
better than polen?
Variation is pretty important with us and animal to make sure we get everything we need :)
Tell me please how often can I use high protein at one week?
Most of my bought food is around 30% protein and I feed it everyday :)
+Marks Shrimp Tanks and no molting problems ?
Nope ,more than this and you probably would though .
+Marks Shrimp Tanks thank you! One more question - how much time do you give shrimps to eat food (one or two hours or more)?
2 hrs max my friend :)
Just received my shrimp and am acclimating them.đ
Excelent ,let me know how you get on :)
Will do, I'm dripping them as I type this lol.
whenever i feed spinach my snails just destroys it and leave nothing for the shrimps
Mines too :)
I'm Popeye the sailor man....
My wife makes me eat alot of this stuff now :D
Wow this guy is super hot ,I wonder what he wears under his kilt ? :D
Another more colorful Kilt with shiny buttons lol
Kilt inception :D
you are in norway
Mark be carefull. some spinach can have pesticides brands. I have friends that have lost all shrimps because of that. I only recommend to use organic/biological spinachs.
Fabio I know here in Norway they are very very strict on things like pesticides but I didnt consider that it might not be the same for other people viewing my video in other countries ,I think I will put a warning in the description .Big thank you my friend :)
By the way Fabio when are you making more videos for me to study ? :)
