having lived abroad, let and returned to the USA many times. The feeling I get when I return is remarkable. Here there is law, lights work, phones work, clocks work. Schools are open to all, groceries are delivered, stop light exist, and Americans expect these things. We smile at each other, hold open doors for each other, and know just how fortunate we are.
